Abstract

1390958 Blasting BERGER MASCHINENFABRIKEN GmbH & CO 5 May 1972 [5 May 1971] 21195/72 Heading B3D [Also in Division B2] Striker plates are retained removably in grooves in single or opposed discs of mill rotors. In one arrangement, the plate 1 fits in grooves in discs 22 and is locked in by an element 3 located by a pin 6 fixed on the discs. The element bears on the plate by engaging a step 11 in the latter and by pressing against a spring 2 secured to the plate by adhesive. A similar device may locate a plate on a single disc 9, the groove 23 being of parallelogram section and permitting lateral removal of the plate. In another arrangement, Fig. 7 (not shown), an equivalent of the element 3 (37) has a ridge engaging in an axial groove in the pin (36) and instead of an arm 13 has the spring (19) secured to it and bearing on the plate with a curved end. A similar arrangement of pin, element and spring to that in Fig. 1, may engage between a radial edge of a plate and a single disc.
