Abstract
1367252 Toothed gearing NISSAN MOTOR CO Ltd 15 Feb 1972 [20 Aug 1971] 7001/72 Heading F2Q A unitary constructed, i.e. fabricated ring gear 28 and clutch or brake hub 34 for an automotive automatic power transmission, Fig. 5 (not shown), having a multiple disc type friction clutch or brake 76, 78, including projecting portions and a planetary gear set 54 including a number of planetary pinions 58, the gear body 28 comprising a simple ring having internal teeth 32, with which the planetary pinions mesh, and a clutch or brake hub 34 of sheet metal electron beam welded thereto with an outer peripheral axially extending portion 3 having a number of circumferentially spaced slots 40 for co-operation with the projecting portions of the clutch or brake discs.
