Abstract

1346006 Pneumatic tyres CONTINENTAL GUMMI-WERKE AG 20 April 1972 [22 April 1971] 18391/72 Heading B7C A pneumatic tyre is provided with a inextensible circumferential belt which extends substantially over the width of the tread strip and which comprises plies 6 and 8 reinforced by steel wires 9 laid respectively in opposite directions to the circumferential line 10 at angles a and b between 18 degrees and 21 degrees and an intermediate ply 7 reinforced by textile cords 11 laid at an angle of between 0 and 12 degrees to line 10. The steel wires and textile cords may be replaced by materials of similar strengths.
