Abstract

1329690 Endless bucket conveyer COAL INDUSTRY (PATENTS) Ltd 20 June 1972 [30 July 1971] 35908/71 Heading B8A [Also in Division E1] Buckets 12 pivoted to endless chain 2 carry abutments 30, 32, 34, 36, 28 to respectively hold the buckets in position to scrape loose material, hold the buckets in position to scoop the material up, tip the buckets to discharge the material to a shoot 46, limit the pivotal movement of the buckets when discharging and return the buckets to scraping position when in co-operation with abutment means 40, 42, 44, 50 and 48 respectively. The means 40, 42 and 50 are carried on the chain, means 44 are displaceable relative to a guideway 4 which supports the chain 2 and means 48 are mounted on the guideway 4. Shoot 46 may be moved along the guideway to any desired position to discharge to a conveyer extending away from the machine. The chain is driven by one or both sprockets 6 in a clockwise direction as viewed in the Figure and the apparatus may comprise part of a mining machine. [For Figures see next page.)
