Abstract

1315499 Glazing JOHN HALL & SONS (BRISTOL & LONDON) Ltd 11 Nov 1970 [6 Nov 1969] 54442/69 Heading E1R A window pane A is supported in a rebate of an opening in a wall B by a sealing cushion, e.g. a strip 1 of polyisobutylene/butyl material, between the side of the pane and the rebate wall, supports 2 between the edge of the pane and the rebate wall, and sealing compound 4 applied around the inside marginal part of the pane. This compound 4 is preferably an acrylic base sealant, which may be gunned into the position shown. This sealant 4 is then covered by a two-part glazing beading 5, 6. The part 5 is of aluminium or plastics material and the part 6 snapped thereover. Strips 10 e.g. of P.V.C. and sealing strip 7 are applied as shown at the sight line.
