Abstract

1289831 Clips; hinging F T PRODUCTS Ltd 1 Jan 1970 [1 Jan 1969] 148/69 Headings E2B and E2F A hinge clip 10 is L shaped and comprises a flat hinge portion 12 having a tongue 19 sheared therefrom for engaging a pivot pin 32 and a clip portion including two arms 16 (not shown), 17 joined by a web 18 and an arm 13 with a lug for gripping an edge portion of a board 24. The portion 12 is inserted in a hole 31 in one wall 26 of a channel shaped member to lie against the bar pivot pin 32 over which the tongue 19 snap engages the end portion of the tongue extending into the hole 30 beneath the pivot. The hole 31 extends into a flange 28 bent at right angles to the wall 26. The portion 11 of the clip gripping one edge portion of the board 24 rests on the flange 28 and the opposite edge portion rests on an opposite flange 29 on the other side wall 27 and is retained by an arm 36 of a clip 34 which has a lug 37 which extends through a circular hole in the wall and is retained therein by a projection 38 on the clip, the clip being rotatable about the hole to release the edge portion. The flanges 28, 29 may be omitted.
