1,185,657. Stabilizing devices. K. F. JACOBSSON. 30 March, 1967, No. 14479/67. Headings B7D and B7J. A fork lift truck comprises a lift tower 4 having guide means 5 for a fork carrier 6. Stabilizing arms 10 are pivoted on the lower portion of the tower, at each side, upon shafts 9 parallel to the lift arms, and may be raised to a stowed position shown in broken lines, and lowered to a stabilizing position, by hydraulic jacks 14. Each arm may carry a swivel wheel 11. An abutment 16 on each jack prevents the jack and stabilizing arm from assuming an in-line position. The extended length of the hydraulic jacks may be additionally screw adjustable.
