Abstract

1,162,532. Waterproof pants. BOWATERSCOTT CORP Ltd. 26 July, 1967 [26 July, 1966], No. 33548/66 Heading A3V. Waterproof pants for supporting a disposable diaper pad of pilch form fastened at 14, 15, comprise layers 10, 11 and have a readily compressible foam strip 18 mounted in a sleeve of waterproof material along each edge of the crutch portion B and held to the wearer's thigh by an elastic strip 20 on the outer side of the strip 18. The sleeves may be formed by joining the inner and outer layers 10, 11 along their edges 12 and along lines 17 and each elastic strip 20 is located in a sleeve (19) formed on the inner face of the outer layer 11, Fig. 2 (not shown). For greater conformability to the wearer's thighs discontinuous strips may be used such as separate strip sections mounted on a backing strip or a length of foam strip having deep discontinuities cut or moulded in one face.
