A container for an article 11 of circular cross-section, e.g. an ampoule comprises an open ended tubular body of thermoplastic material and substantially polygonal crosssection with inwardly projecting longitudinal folds 9, 10 formed in at least two of the walls to support the article by their resilience. The container may be of triangular section with the folds provided at the junctions of the walls. Several other arrangements of the folds are shown.
