Abstract

1,143,275. Chair covers. CUSTOMAGIC MFG. CO. Ltd. 22 Dec., 1967 [25 Oct., 1967], No. 48510/67. Addition to 1,088,601. Heading A4M. A loose cover, for an open-armed chair, comprises front (32) and rear 31 panels defining a back-rest cover pocket, a seat panel 33, a seat front cover panel (34), two extension panels 11, 12 for covering the seat sides, and draw-cords 40, 46 for securing the cover beneath the seat, the front panel (32) and extension panels 11, 12 being provided with respective tabs 41, 26 extending to the back of the chair and provided with fasteners 42, 43 for releasable engagement with complementary fasteners 38 on an overlying flap 37 formed by the bottom of the back panel 31. The fasteners 38, 42, 43 may alternatively comprise fabric strips with interengageable hooked and looped pile surfaces, press studs or hooks and eyes. The cover may be of stretch fabric comprising knitted synthetic yarn.
