Abstract

1,132,120. Non-woven fabrics. E. I. DU PONT DE NEMOURS & CO. 20 April, 1966, No. 17304/66. Heading D1R. A bonded nonwoven sheet, suitable as a substrate for tufting, comprises continuous, randomly disposed, crystalline, synthetic organic polymeric filaments, and has perforations along its edges, the filaments at the walls of the perforations being fused. The sheet to be perforated may be those of British Specifications 1,122,828 or 1,067,576 or Belgian Specification 625,998. The perforations may be made by electric or spark discharge, or by heated needles.
