Abstract

[Also in Division A4] A fitting for securing a leg 12 of circular or rectangular section to a cabinet comprises a socket 1 of rectangular cross-section having two of its opposed side walls 6, 7 converging towards the base 2 and a wedge-shaped insert 8 which clamps the leg against the side wall 7. The insert is drawn into the socket by a bolt which passes through the insert and a hole 3 in the base 2 to engage a T-nut on the cabinet. The side walls 6, 7 may be equally inclined to the base or one wall 6 may be disposed at right-angles to the base. The inclined face 9 of the insert engaging the leg may have a part-spherical recess.
