Abstract
1,098,125. Making electrcal machines; jointing. A. SCHEIB. Feb. 21, 1966, No. 7575/66. Headings B3A and B3V. [Also in Division H2] The stator or rotor of an electrical machine consists of a grooved yoke ring 1 into the grooves of which shaped teeth 4 are radially force fitted to retain windings 2 within slots between adjacent teeth. The windings can be of prefabricated form, and the teeth can be composed axially of one or more parts, and may be of a different material from the yoke ring. An adhesive can be used to help secure the teeth in the ring. Several teeth can be inserted in the grooves simultaneously, the teeth being inserted by an electrically, mechanically, hydraulically, or vibration driven apparatus.
