1,094,568. Washing machines. WESTING- HOUSE ELECTRIC CORPORATION. Sept. 7, 1965 [Sept. 22, 1964], No. 38163/65. Heading D1A. In a washing machine having a tub 14, a centre-post agitator 5 and a basket 6 rotatable for spin-drying, the tub 14, driving motor 11 and transmission 8 are mounted upon a frame 4, 7 which is supported on a dome portion 3 of the machine casing to permit precessional movement of the tub during spinning about a pivot point substantially in the plane of the machine supporting surface. Springs 10 control the processional movement and friction damping material 16 may be provided between the dome 3 and frame 4.
