A chassis for supporting circuit components, which slides like a drawer in a framework, is of box-like form, the front, Fig. 1, comprising a rigid frame 1 provided with one or more handles 2, and the sides 3 being substantially rigid flat plates maintained mutually parallel by the frame 1, a rear panel 4, and by crosspieces 5 perpendicular to said plates and secured thereto by countersunk screws 11. The rear panel 4 is screwed to two transverse bars 9, which are axially screwed, riveted, &c. at 10 to sides 3; the removal of two screws, &c. 10 allows panel 4 to be pivoted on the other two. An intermediate panel 12, fixed to vertical bars 13 which are screwed to sides 3, divides the chassis into two compartments. The front compartment may contain a plurality of small drawers which slide on T-shaped runners 16, each small drawer comprising a rigid front plate 19 and a rear plate joined by four rods 21 holding support members 23, 24 (Fig. 5, not shown) for printed circuit boards 26 and connectors 27 therefor. The sides, top and bottom of each small drawer may be closed in by sheets 25, 28, which may be perforated, and the drawer is held in place by a rod having a knob 15 on its end outside the drawer, and a threaded portion on its other end which engages a threaded seating integral with intermediate panel 12. In Fig. 7 (not shown) the small drawers are dispensed with, boards 26 being mounted directly in the front compartment. The rear compartment comprises current supply members 38. The top and base of the chassis are covered by a protective grid 31. A plurality of chassis mounted in a framework 35, Fig. 2 (not shown), are cooled by air forced upwards by bellows and returned down passages between the sides of the chassis and the louvred sides of the framework 35.
