Abstract
A reforming catalyst comprises nickel or a compound thereof capable of being reduced to metallic nickel in a concentration of 20-80% (calculated as NiO) and a refractory support consisting of coprecipitated Al2O3-Cr2O3 and a hydraulic binding agent. Additionally the catalyst may contain 0.001-0.1% of a PE group metal. The catalyst may take the form of pellets between 2 and 10 mm. in size. Examples are given in which other minor catalyst constituents include SiO2CaO, MgO, Fe2O3 and K2o.
