Abstract
1,029,395. Cut-outs. LICENTIA PATENTVERWALTUNGS G.m.b.H. June 21, 1963 [June 22, 1962], No. 24776/63. Heading H2G. A fuse-link comprises a fuse element 2 connected between two main electrodes 1, 3, and an auxiliary electrode 4 which is non-inductively connected through the device to be protected to one of the main electrodes, so that an arc between electrodes 1, 3 resulting from the melting of fuse element 2 is transferred to a parallel circuit through the auxiliary electrode 4 and the main electrode remote from the device. The auxiliary electrode 4 is preferably associated with one or more constrictions on the fuse element, and may be sited between two parallel element constrictions. The parts of the fuse element which do not co-act with the auxiliary electrode may be embedded in sand or similar insulating material.
