Abstract
1,022,491. Tractor power lift mechanisms. ZAHNRADFABRIK FRIEDRICHSHAFEN A.G. Dec. 21, 1962 [Jan. 20, 1962], No. 48392/62. Heading A1P. A tractor power lift mechanism provides for draft control and includes a control valve 2 which has two pistons K 2, K 3 of unequal diameters. Hydraulic fluid is supplied by a pump 4 via a pressure regulator 5 and a control valve 2 to a ram cylinder 7. In the neutral position shown pressure in the cylinder 7 is transmitted via throttling point 9 to space 20 between unequal pistons K 2, K3 whereby the valve 2 is biased against the action of spring 3. Regulator 5 discharges the fluid from the pump to the sump. When pressure in cylinder 7 increases, since there is a pressure differential between pistons K 2, and K 3, valve 2 is moved to the right so that fluid is discharged from the cylinder 7 to the sump via line 11, space 21 and line 12. When pressure in cylinder 7 decreases pressure in space 20 decreases so that spring 3 moves the valve 2 to the left whereby the pump supplies fluid via line 14, space 21 and line 11 to the cylinder 7. Also the outlet to sump is closed by regulator 5 since pressure fluid passes to space 22 via throttling point 9, space 20 and line 19. The valve 2 may be controlled manually by lever 10.
