Abstract

Crystalline isotactic polypropylene is compounded with 0.005-2% of an amide of a water-insoluble C8-C18 monocarboxylic acid or a mixture thereof. The composition may be in the form of a film prepared by melt extrusion at 400-550 DEG F. and may also contain 0.1-4.0% polyethylene. The amide may be dodecan-, tetradecan-, hexadecan-, octan-, decan- or octadecan, 9-octadecan-amides or 9, 12-octadecadienamide. Specification 929,435 is referred to.
