L’invention concerne un appui-tête (1) de siège de véhicule automobile, ledit appui-tête comprenant un boitier (3) et une coiffe (6) pourvue d’un profilé (7) périphérique de fixation en s’insérant dans une gorge (9) prévue en périphérie de la face arrière (10) dudit boitier, le fond de ladite gorge étant pourvue d’une butée (11) d’ancrage dudit bord permettant un montage en tension de ladite coiffe, une coque (12) en matériau plastique moulé étant fixée à ladite face arrière pour la masquer, ladite coque présentant un bord tombé (13) prenant appui en zone arrière (14) de ladite coiffe s’étendant le long dudit profilé, ledit profilé présentant une partie (15) saillant de ladite gorge de manière à écarter ladite zone de ladite face arrière, ledit bord tombé prenant appui sur ladite zone en la repoussant vers ladite face arrière de manière à éviter un jeu entre ledit bord tombé et ladite zone.
