Abstract

L’invention concerne un procédé de carbonisation en continu d’une fibre (20) précurseur de fibre de carbone, par plasma assisté par micro-ondes, ce procédé comprenant l’entrainement en défilement de ladite fibre successivement dans plusieurs compartiments (11, 11’, 12, 12’, 13’, 13) d’un réacteur (10), dans chacun desquels il est formé une atmosphère d’un gaz plasmagène de pression contrôlée, ladite pression étant inférieure dans le dernier compartiment (13) par rapport au premier compartiment (11). Il est généré dans chacun des compartiments un plasma par résonance cyclotronique électronique par au moins une paire de sources (31, 31’) alimentées en énergie micro-ondes, auquel est exposée la fibre en défilement.
