OF THE INVENTION The device for recharging removable batteries of electric vehicles that is the subject of this invention has technical features designed to make it easier to exchange a discharged battery against a battery charged in an electric vehicle; the user can also charge his battery since the device can be placed at any location, which allows a fast and direct service. The device referred to in this invention comprises: an outer protective shell provided with numerous housings for individually placing the removable batteries thereon, each housing is associated with means for charging the battery and with means for blocking the battery located inside, and - a control unit with a display screen and means of payment integrated into the hull; this control unit is connected to recharging means, locking means and indicating means of each housing to allow their individual control. Recharging the battery can be achieved through contacts associated with the recharging means, or through other means. This device can be installed on public roads, in car parks or in other places; Electric vehicle users can remove the discharged batteries from their electric vehicles and remove other previously charged batteries to install them quickly and easily without waiting for their batteries to be charged throughout their cycle. This device offers a charging service to 25 private users as well as public transport and fleets through the payment of the charge when carrying a charged battery. The protective shell is robust, preferably has a prismatic or cubic shape, and has been designed with vandal resistance criteria. The device or station takes into account the state of the charge of the deposited batteries and indicates to the users which ones are charged and therefore available. For this, the housing is equipped with visual indicators of availability and operating status of each of them. The visual indicator of each housing can be composed of, for example, several LEDs of several colors that can indicate if the housing is empty, if the deposited battery is misplaced, if the battery is being charged or if it is complete, for example, from red to green or intermittent. There can be several locking means such as a trigger that hooks the battery or a hinged closing door housing that make possible the proper introduction of the battery and hold during the charging process, to prevent theft and unwanted extractions. In a preferred embodiment, the payment means comprise a card reader, as well as subscription cards, to identify the users and charge the charge amount on their account, as well as a credit card reader to make a direct debit. to the user.
