Abstract

The invention relates to a device consisting of a self-propelled mechanical assembly 17 capable of completely removing bits causing obstructions in drains, such as deposits of sand and clumps of rootlets inside them. It consists of a hollow body 10 fitted with metal rails 14 with rollers. To this body there are bolted: - at the rear, a part 11 equipped with four jets 12 with which to propel itself on the outward journey and with which to move the shredded matter 19 towards the point of entry on the homeward journey; - at the front a rotating part 6 equipped with a bevelled point 1 to assist the penetration of a toothed disk 2 in order to shred the bits blocking the drain 15 and with four jets 7 to enable it to rotate. This mechanical assembly is connected to a reinforced hose supplied with water at high pressure by a generator drawing from a water tank. The device according to the invention is particularly intended for unblocking and cleaning out agricultural drains.
