Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a helmet with earphones of a new type, of the kind used in outdoor sports or in winter sports, to protect the ears against the cold. In some cases, this type of headset with ear flaps is also used to protect the user from noise.
A helmet with known type of earcups comprises two padded earpieces 9 permanently articulated, each on one of two ends of a flexible spring band, itself formed of two sections, which can slide one over the other to provide a possibility of length adjustment. The user spreads the two ends of the spring leaf, places the latter on the top of his skull, and lets the ear flaps return, which the elasticity of the spring keeps applied each on one ear.
It is noted that Ide earphones of this known type have a double disadvantage o First of all the two sections of the metal blade of the spring slide one over the other irregularly, and sometimes inadvertently during use. In fact, nothing immobilizes them at the chosen adjustment position
Another disadvantage is that the ear cups are hinged so. irremovable on the ends of the spring band: it is therefore not possible to disassemble them to replace them with others, or else to replace only one If it is damaged: in the latter case, it is necessary to replace the entire helmet.
The object of the present invention is to avoid these drawbacks, by making a helmet with earpieces of a new type, having interchangeable earpieces and ensuring a perfectly stable position, even if the user practices a violent sport. .
le dessin annexé 9 donné à titre d'exemple non limitatif ~ permettra de mieux comprendre les caractéristiques de l'invention. the accompanying drawing 9 given by way of nonlimiting example ~ will better understand the characteristics of the invention.
Figure 1 illustre le mode d'utilisation d' un casque à oreillettes selon l'invention. Figure 1 illustrates the mode of use of a headset with earphones according to the invention.
Figure 2 is an exploded view showing the various elements of the helmet.
Figure 3 est une coupe transversale suivant

Figure 4 is a section on IV - IV (Figure 2) after assembly and mounting of the corresponding headset.
The headset with earpieces 1 according to the invention comprises two padded earpieces 2 each articulated on one end of a telescopic elastic band 3
The latter is formed of two flexible sections 4 and 5 sliding one on the other. The section 5 is made of plastic, made in one piece with an end eyelet 6 through the transverse slot from which the section 4 can freely slide
Likewise, the section 4 is made of plastic, in one piece with an analogous end eyelet 7 through the transverse slot from which the section 5 can slide freely.
According to an important characteristic of the invention, the inner face of the section 4 i, that is to say that which is slid against the section 5, is provided with a succession of notches 8 9 formed in relief and distributed over its length.
Each of the two sections 4 and 5 is made of a plastic material that is both flexible and elastic allowing the assembly 1 to behave like a leaf spring, made telescopic by means of the two eyelets 6 and 7.
At its free end X each section 4 and 5 is fixed by an articulation rivet 9 9 to a clip tab 10. This comprises a hinge tab 11 having the shape of a bearing capable of receiving a pivot axis 12. However, this bearing is opened by a longitudinal lateral slot 13 with a conical inlet 9 used to force-clip the axis 12 when it is desired to engage it by transverse pressure, in the cylindrical housing of the articulation lug 11.
Are 12 is made in one piece with a plastic cup 14 surrounded by a flange 15
The pin 12 is arranged across an opening 16, preferably surrounded by a reinforcing rim 17. The bottom of 1 ..
An inner lining 19 is also provided, cut to the inner contour of the rim 15 with a notch 20 to release the opening 17. The lining 9 is cut from felt, velvet, plush, fur, flannel, or any other flexible or padded product.
To complete the headset 2, an external cover 21 is provided, preferably made of natural or synthetic fur. The cover 21 is # in the form of a pocket whose peripheral edge is equipped with an elastic 22, which tightens it
The operation is as follows
To assemble a headset, the lining 9 is placed against the bottom of the plastic cup 14 inside the rim 15. The other side of the cup 14 is capped with the cover 21, the elastic band 22 of which closes the periphery behind the edge 15, as illustrated in Figure 4. The atrium 2 thus produced (FIG. 2 on the left) can thus be presented directly to the corresponding articulation tab 10, then clipped onto it by force-fitting its axis 12 into the opening 13 of the tab 11
It can be seen that, thanks to this arrangement, the user has the possibility of easily exchanging the whole of a headset 2. This is useful either to replace a damaged headset, or to match the color of the fur of the cover 21 to that of the clothes worn by a user.
To adjust the elastic spring band 1 to the desired length, it suffices to slide the two sections 4 and 5 one against the other, respectively through the eyelets 6 and 7. It can be seen that, the spacing 23 between two consecutive raised notches 8 being greater than or equal to the length 24 of the eyelet 6, it is possible to place the latter between two consecutive notches 8. Thus these notches coming to be housed on either side of the palpating corresponding edge of the slot of the eyelet 6 (FIG. 3), the latter is immobilized against any untimely sliding along the section 4 during use. This blockage is reinforced by the elastic reaction of the whole of the spring band 3, when it is moved to its position of use (Figure 1).
