Abstract

The combined lead and holder accommodates an instrument for picking up solid waste material, particularly dog excreta. It comprises a flexible sheath of leather or other suitable material enclosing the instrument, and forms a grip to which the chain is secured at the end. It can comprise a normal flap with press-button, of 27cm x 4cm, and with a metal eye at the end to which the lead chain is fixed. The sheath accommodating the instrument can be fixed to the leather grip, of which it forms an extension, while its tapered end has the chain secured to it, of a gauge suitable for the size of dog.
