Abstract

The transportation installation provides automatic guidance for vehicles by utilising a light emitter whose light is reflected to define path for the vehicle. A receiver on board vehicle senses the light. A light emitter (E1) transmits light via semi transparent mirror (1). The light falls on reflecting surface (3) to define path for vehicle. A receiver (R1) receives light via the mirror. This light is coaxial with transmitted light and coincidence circuits in receiver ensure that only light reflected from defined path operate a servo control system, to avoid interference from parasitic signals.
