Abstract

Photosensitive colour-photographic Ag halide recording material consists an emulsion carrier, >=1 Ag halide emulsion layer and 3 different couplers for forming coloured images. The emulsion layer contains a cpd. capable of forming a black dye with a defined developed Ag quantity, during colour developing. A pref. cpd. is an amino-phenol, (I), contg. an -NR'R2 group (where R' and R2 are H, alkyl, aralkyl, alkenyl or aryl) in m-position to phenolic OH. Sharp coloured images are obtd. in -ve and +ve images esp. in copies. The black image obtd. resists oxidn. In an example, (I) was N-octadecyl-m-aminophenol.
