Abstract

Pharmaceutical compsns. for topical application to animals, contain a compound of formula (I) where either R is 3-phenoxy benzyl; R1 is R2 is Br; or R is 3,4,5,6-tetrahydrophthalimido methyl; R1 = R2 = CH3; or R is (S) allethrolone; R1 is R2 is CH3. Cpd. (I) is an excipient for veterinary topical application. Cpd. (I), where R1 is R2 is Br and R is (-) alpha-cyano -3-phenoxybenzyl, is a veterinary medicament for the treatment of psoroptic scabies. (I) are used for treatment of cattle.
