a. Procédé de préparation de la benzanthrone. Ce procédé consiste à faire réagir une hydroanthraquinone possédant un noyau 1,4-dihydro avec l'acroléine ou un précurseur de l'acroléine en présence d'un catalyseur de déshydratation. c) La benzanthrone sert de matière pour la préparation des colorants et pigments d'lndanthrène.
