Abstract

The equipment recovers heat from stale air discharged from a room etc. by means of a ventilation unit with parallel passages for fresh and stale air and sets of heat exchangers between them. Each heat exchanger comprises a number of coils extending vertically through the two passages, and formed by straight pipes (7) connected in series and to each other by elbows (8), and preferably also finned. Each coil is closed at one end and has at the other a filler connection for coolant. The coils have a partition wall (13) dividing the top and the bottom part and also the fresh and stale air passages. The lower part of each coil extends across the stale air passage, and the upper one across the fresh air passage.
