Abstract

The plate has reinforcing inserts between two flat plates, being particularly for use in the construction of auxiliary platforms. The inserts (3, 4) are in the form of corrugated plates joined together and one above the other. The axes of the corrugations in the one plate lie at right angles to those of the other. The design combines strength with light weight. The corrugated plates are tack welded together at joining corners, and the units are mounted in a resilient framework.
