Abstract

Wood protecting compsn. comprises a liq. concentrate contg. as active ingredients water-insol. insecticides and fungicides which are dissolved in a solvent and in oils with addition of emulsifiers so that the final compsn. is a thin liq. emulsion. Wood is protected against damaging insects and fungi without any adverse efect on its quality. The compsn. can be applied to standing or growing timber, tree trunks, cut wood etc. and provides long-term protection since it is fixed onto the wood and, after drying, cannot be washed out.
