Abstract

Medical electrode that can be applied directly to the skin is produced from a material consisting of (I) a polyetherurethane, PVAc, or vinyl/acrylic copolymer as binder; an electrically conducting powder that is compatible with the skin, and is dispersed in (I) at a lower volume than the critical pigment volume concentration; and a volatile solvent as carrier. The electrode is non-toxic and non-allergic; bonds to the skin for >=3 days in the dry from and has good electrical conductivity and flexibility.
