Pyridine derivs. of general formula (I): in which R1 = -CN, -CONR3R4 or -SO2NR3-R4 at posn. 3 or 5; R3 and R4 are indep. H or alkyl(1-3C), opt.substd. with alkoxy (1-2 C) or methylpiperazinyl; R3+R4+N may form pyrrolidine, piperidine, methylpiperidine, morpholine, methylpiperazine or homopiperidine; R2 = alkylpiperazinyl or hydroxyethylpiperazinyl at posns. 2,4 or 6, and their acid-addn. salts have anti-inflammatory, antipyretic and cardio-vascular activity.
