Abstract

Laundry drying cycle is controlled by monitoring the residual moisture and deriving from the moisture a cycle stopping signal. During the cycle the temp. TW of the laundry is continuously compared with the temp. TT of the drying air and the stopping signal is selected from the time period corresponding to the joining of the time period DELTA t Tc, where the temp. TW is const. by the time period DELTA t Ta and at which time period the thermal differences of the temp. (TT TW) do not exceed a critical value (G DELTA) or the time differential d TW/dt) of the temp (TW) exceeds a critical value (Gd). Cycle of laundry drying is stopped when the residual moisture in the laundry is at its optimal value preventing creasing and making subsequent ironing more difficult.
