Abstract
The bimetallic element (10) is corrected at each end two metallic current supply means, at least one of which is formed by the electrical resistance generating the heat. This resistance may be formed by a part of the bimetallic element (10) retained by an element preventing its deformation or by a separate resistance which is shaped to surround the joint between the bimetallic element (10) and the resistance. In the former case, part of the bimetallic element (10) is preferably surrounded by a sleeve (13) to form the heating resistance, and the other end is soldered to a flexible mesh (12).
