Abstract

1-Aryloxy-3-aminopropanes. Propanes of formula (I): ArCH2CH(OZ)CH2NHR (I) (where Ar is opt. substd. aryl; Z is H or an ether type protecting gp. and R is alkyl or aralkyl) are useful in the treatment of gastric and peptic ulcers. (I) are prepd. by reaction of a phenol or naphthol A-OH, with an azetidine.
