Abstract

Cable submarino de fibras ópticas para telecomunicaciones, que comprende un ánima cilíndrica sobre cuya superficie más externa hay acanaladuras helicoidales en cada una de las cuales está alojada por lo menos una fibra óptica, estando encerrada dicha ánima cilíndrica dentro de una funda, caracterizado por el hecho de que la funda es de material engloba un armazón vinculado a la misma y dispuesto en la posición radialmente más interna cuyo eje coincide con del cable, estando constituido dicho armazón por una cuerda compacta antitorsional de sección no inferior a 50 mm 2 los espacios entre los hilos que componen esta cuerda rellenos de un fluido incompresible, estando desprovisto dicho cable de cualquier funda metálica y de cualquier armazón resistente a solicitaciones mecánicas dispuestas radialmente externamente y rodeando la zona en la que están alojada las fibras ópticas.
