Abstract
"Procedimiento y cápsula para la identificación y seguimiento remoto de aves". El procedimiento comprende hacer ingerir a un ave (3) una cápsula (1) que contiene un transponder, hasta alojarse en la molleja o estómago muscular (2) del ave, siendo la cápsula de una dureza y resistencia tales que queda localizada de forma permanente en la molleja, sin roturas ni erosiones, y comunicar las señales enviadas o recibidas por el transponder con un centro de recogida y tratamiento de datos. La cápsula es de forma esférica, lenticular o cilíndrica achatada en los extremos y está provista de una cavidad (4) en por lo menos uno de sus extremos longitudinales, adaptada para recibir la inserción del transponder. La cápsula está constituida por un material cerámico, que comprende proporciones variables de alúmina, sílice, cal, magnesia, óxido de bario, óxido de sodio, óxido de potasio, óxido férrico, óxido de titanio, zirconia, yttria y/o hafnia, totalmente desprovisto de porosidad, de densidad comprendida entre 2,5 y 9 g/cm{sup,3}, y de peso comprendido entre 1 y 75 g."Procedure and capsule for the identification and remote monitoring of birds". The procedure comprises having a bird (3) ingest a capsule (1) containing a transponder, until it is lodged in the gizzard or muscular stomach (2) of the bird, the capsule being of such hardness and resistance that it is permanently located in the gizzard, without breakage or erosion, and communicate the signals sent or received by the transponder with a data collection and processing center. The capsule is spherical, lenticular or cylindrical in shape at the ends and is provided with a cavity (4) in at least one of its longitudinal ends, adapted to receive the insertion of the transponder. The capsule consists of a ceramic material, which comprises varying proportions of alumina, silica, lime, magnesia, barium oxide, sodium oxide, potassium oxide, ferric oxide, titanium oxide, zirconia, yttria and / or hafnia, totally devoid of porosity, with a density between 2.5 and 9 g / cm {sup, 3}, and a weight between 1 and 75 g.
