Abstract

The aquarium is in two parts: the upper (4) holding water for fish and aquatic plants, and the lower (5) holding equipment operating the aquarium. A sealed chamber (6) for land plants and animals is immersed in the upper part. The sealed chamber can be raised and lowered by a mechanism (23,22,10) operated from outside by a wheel (24). An aeration system (26,7) serve the sealed chamber.
