Definitions
- the invention relates to a bracelet clasp, and in particular to watch straps.
- a folding clasp comprising a rigid base provided with two spars, a yoke arranged to be attached to a strand of the bracelet, and at least one folding arm having a rear end attached to one end of the base by a first articulation and having a front end attached to the yoke by a second joint.
- the folding arm comprises two juxtaposed branches provided with pushers, the front ends of which are spaced apart by an elastic element.
- An aim of the present invention is to overcome all or part of the drawbacks cited above by providing a clasp of simple design and economical to manufacture.
- the invention relates to a bracelet clasp according to claim 1. Thanks to these characteristics, such a bracelet clasp offers a clasp of extremely simple design, easy to handle, and which comprises a single piece.
- the invention also relates to a wristwatch comprising a bracelet provided with a clasp according to the invention.
- a bracelet clasp will now be described in the following with joint reference to the figures 1 , 2 , 3 And 4 .
- the clasp 1 comprises a blade 2 of which a first end 20 is articulated on a first end 30 of a first strand 3 of the bracelet via a shaft or an axis passing through the strand, and of which the second end 21 of the blade 2 is free .
- the blade can be clipped onto the strand via pins secured to the blade, the pins being formed at the same time as the blade during its manufacture.
- the blade and the first strand 3 are formed at the same time, with different materials via a bi-injection process, and form a single part.
- the first end 20 can have cutouts to receive cylindrical portions of the end 30 of the first strand of bracelet 3.
- Such a construction makes it possible to have a stronger and more rigid articulation.
- said blade 2 comprises a cutout 5 so as to form at least one rigid part 22, located near the first end 20, and two opposite deformable parts 23, 24 located near the free end 21.
- the cutout can take different shapes, such as a T or Y shape for example, or even in the shape of a logo.
- the two deformable parts each comprise, on the face oriented towards the bracelet strand or lower face, a pin 6 provided with a hook 6' arranged to cooperate with a hole 40 of a second bracelet strand 4 and lock the clasp on the second strand 4.
- the height of the pin 6 is provided slightly greater than the thickness of the bracelet strand so that the hook 6' rests against the surface of the second strand 4 when the clasp is in the locked position.
- the spacing between the two pins 6 is equivalent to the width of the hole 40 of the second strand 4 so that the clasp provides good support and locking once the 6' hooks are in place.
- the pins 6 and the hooks 6' thus form a locking mechanism arranged to keep the clasp attached to the second strand 4 when the watch is worn.
- the blade 2, the pins 6 and the hooks 6' form a single piece.
- the blade 2 may have additional means of holding the second bracelet strand, such as a nipple 8 as illustrated in the figure 2 so as to provide an additional holding point for the second strand of the bracelet.
- this nipple 8 can also serve as an aid for placing the clasp on the second strand of the bracelet.
- the pin 8 is arranged on the lower face of the rigid part of the blade 2 and is arranged to cooperate with an additional hole 41 of the second strand 4.
- the pin 8 thus serves as a safety device preventing the second strand 4 from coming loose from the blade 2 leading to untimely unlocking of the clasp during an impact for example.
- the pin 8 is advantageously formed at the same time as the blade so that the assembly forms a single piece element.
- the deformable parts 23 and 24 of the blade 2 have edges machined so as to form pushers 26 and facilitate gripping of the clasp for deformation of the deformable parts.
- the blade 2 comprises projecting edges 25 arranged to guide the second strand of bracelet 4, the projecting edges 25 being positioned near the first end 20 of the blade 2, and oriented towards the bracelet strands.
- the blade 2 comprises a loop 7 to guide the second bracelet strand 4, the loop 7 being placed in the immediate vicinity of the first end 20 which is articulated on the first end 30 of the first bracelet strand 3, the second strand of bracelet 4 passing under the first strand 3 then through the loop 7.
- the blade 2 of the clasp 1 is manufactured from a material chosen from: plastics, metals and metal alloys, and composite materials, via molding, injection, machining, stamping, 3D printing, or a combination of these methods. It is also possible to make a bi-material blade.
- the blade 2 can for example be made from plastic and metal, for example the deformable parts can be made from plastic and the rest from metal.
- the second bracelet strand comprises locking means arranged to cooperate with said blade.
- the pins 6 are inserted into the hole 40 until the hooks 6' protrude from the hole 40.
- the wearer can then release the pressure on the pushers 26, which causes a return to the rest position of the deformable parts 23, 24 and consequently also hooks which engage with the second strand of bracelet, which causes the clasp to lock on the second strand of bracelet.
