Description

MECHANISM THAT INCREASES THE STABILITY OF THE SAFETY HOOK IN DOORS AND/OR WINDOWS AND THAT FACILITATES THEIR INSTALLATION
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention is related to a mechanism that facilitates the installation on doors and windows of safety hooks that prevent burglars from opening doors and/or windows by stretching and straining the latch bolts through the application of force using crowbars or other tools on certain points on the door, using fitting blocks of varying widths, and that increases the visual appeal of the invention by hiding the installation screws. PRIOR ART
Due to the insecure environment that is caused by the changing and developing population that is rapidly increasing, various burglary incidents are occurring in all locations, especially the residences and workplaces where people spend much time.
Various locking systems are employed for doors and / or windows in order to secure these residences and workplaces. One of these systems uses a locking mechanism on a door that is rotated with an external key in order to insert the latch bolt inside this mechanism to the bolt hole on the door/window frame. This prevents the door from opening unless the lock is rotated in the other direction, i.e. the latch bolt is pulled from the bolt hole. However, the aforementioned mechanism does not offer full protection against burglars. Burglars employ various methods in order to overcome the aforementioned door lock mechanisms that provide security for homes and workplaces. One of these methods is to open doors by removing the latch bolt from the bolt hole by applying force using a crowbar or other tool to certain points on the door, stretching and straining the door. One of the security mechanisms that is developed against the aforementioned method of burglary is the utility model no. 2002/00113, and it describes a hook slot that is installed on the fixed door and/or window frame, and a hook that is installed on the moving door and /or window. When the door is closed from the inside and/or outside, the aforementioned hook slides into the hook slot, and prevents the door from opening by forcing in any other direction than the door's opening direction (hinge movement direction) from the outside. Utility model no. 2002/00113 describes a security mechanism that also entails some disadvantages. The level difference between the fixed door and /or window frame where the hook slot is installed and the moving door and /or window where the hook is installed decreases the strength of the security mechanism, and decreases the resistance of the door and / or window against forcing with a crowbar or other tool. This causes some vulnerabilities in the security of residences and workplaces.
In conclusion, the aforementioned disadvantages and the inadequacy of existing solutions necessitates an innovation in the relevant field.
The present invention relates to a mechanism that meets the aforementioned requirements, eliminates all disadvantages and brings some additional advantages, that increases the strength of the safety hook that is used on doors and/or windows, and that facilitates its installation.
The purpose of the invention is to make installing the safety hook that is used in the prior art on doors and /or windows of varying dimensions and shapes very easy and fast. The parts of the product of the invention are specially designed in different widths in a manner that fits each other. This allows installation on doors and/or windows of all types and dimensions. Increasing the strength of the door and / or window prevents burglars from overcoming the door and / or window locking mechanisms in residences and workplaces. The product of the invention eliminates the disadvantages that arise from the level difference between the fixed door and /or window frame where the hook slot is installed, and the moving door and/or window where the hook is installed. Another aspect of the invention discloses a sheath that is specially designed to cover the hook and the hook slot, that can be plugged in and out, that can be produced to match the door and /or window color, thus hiding the metal hardware and installation screws of the invention.
