Description

The invention relates to a tool and a method for producing a blank from a sheet of cardboard according to the preambles of patent claims 1 and 9, respectively.

When producing blanks from sheets of cardboard with a corresponding tool, which is usually designed as a cutting, punching and/or creasing tool, smaller waste parts are often separated from the blank by means of a corresponding cutting line contour arranged on a first tool part. The first tool part acts as a matrix together with a second tool part as a patrix, between which the respective sheet of cardboard is arranged and the blank is produced by separating the at least one waste part.

While large waste can be removed relatively easily from the blank of the cut or punched cardboard sheet and transported away, up to now it has been precisely small punching waste that can be lost during further transport of the cardboard sheet, which can lead to soiling and further impairments in the manufacturing process.

From the DE 10 065 457 A1 a method and a device for separating blanks and waste from a punched or cut sheet of material is already known, in which the blanks and waste are separated in a transport device, by means of which the blanks and waste are removed from a processing device in which the trimming of the cardboard sheet takes place. In order to separate use and waste, the transport device has several attraction surfaces with different attraction or suction forces in order to separate the respective cardboard parts and remove the waste from the process. From the DE 10 2010 061991 A1 a tool and a method according to the features of the respective preambles of claims 1 and 10 are known. the EP 2 327 521 A1 describes a method for preparing tools of a flatbed sheet punching and/or embossing machine. This publication also shows the basic structure a sheet punching and embossing machine for punching, breaking out and depositing sheets of paper, cardboard and the like.

The object of the present invention is to create a tool and a method for producing a panel from a sheet of cardboard, by means of which smaller pieces of waste can be removed from the process in a particularly simple and rapid manner.

According to the invention, this object is achieved by a tool and a method for producing a blank from a sheet of cardboard with the features of patent claims 1 and 9, respectively. Advantageous configurations and favorable developments of the invention are the subject matter of the dependent claims.

In order to create a tool by means of which smaller waste parts can be removed from the process in a particularly simple and quick manner, it is provided according to the invention that at least one suction channel of a suction device is also provided in the first tool part in which the cutting line contour is arranged, via which the at least one piece of waste separated by means of the cutting line contour can be sucked off. According to the invention, provision is therefore made for the respective small waste parts to be sucked off directly on the spot within the first tool part or directly during the process step of punching the waste part from the panel. This ensures in a particularly simple and reliable manner that no waste parts can be lost during the onward transport of the sheet or in the further process, which could otherwise lead to contamination of the system or to an impairment of the process.

A corresponding suction channel can be introduced relatively easily into the corresponding tool part, in particular when this is composed of several carrier plates. The suction channel only has to be provided partially within the corresponding tool part. It is also conceivable for the channel to be guided partially on the outside of the tool part, for example by means of appropriate lines. It is a further advantage that the suction channel can be connected relatively easily to the corresponding suction device. In addition the suction channel formed over a length range by respective partial suction channels. These partial suction channels can adjoin the respective circumferentially closed contour area of the cutting line contour, so that several pieces of waste can be separated from the panel at the same time and sucked off via the assigned partial suction channel.

In a further embodiment of the invention, it has proven to be advantageous if the suction channel is formed by the cutting line contour at least over a length region. The contour of the cutting line thus forms the entrance to the suction channel, so that separated waste parts can be transported away directly from the trimming area to the rear and into the corresponding part of the tool. Since the respective piece of waste is inevitably pressed into the suction channel as a result of the trimming, the suction takes place in a particularly simple and reliable manner. In addition, the shape of the suction channel is particularly favorably adapted to the corresponding waste part, so that a force generated as a result of the suction acts on the waste part in an optimal manner.

A further advantageous embodiment of the invention provides that the first tool part has at least one support plate, in particular an upper support plate, in which the suction channel is formed at least over a longitudinal area. Such a suction channel within the corresponding support plate is particularly easy to produce.

In a further embodiment of the invention, the first tool part has at least one support plate, in particular a lower one, in which the cutting line contour is accommodated. Thus, a continuous recess through the carrier plate can be provided for the cutting line contour in a simple manner.

It has also been shown to be advantageous if the first tool part has an intermediate plate between the carrier plate, in which the cutting line contour is accommodated, and the carrier plate, in which the suction channel is formed at least over a length area, in which the suction channel is formed at least over a length area is trained. The intermediate plate can thus on the one hand the support of Serve cutting line contour and on the other hand are easily provided with one or more suction channels.

In a further embodiment of the invention, the cutting line contour has at least one circumferentially closed contour area for separating the respective waste part, with the respective adjoining suction channel or partial suction channel having a larger cross section than the associated contour area. This cross section, which is preferably slightly larger, of the respective suction channel or partial suction channel in relation to the respective contour area of the cutting line contour ensures that the respectively separated waste parts are removed from the cutting point on the one hand without tilting within the suction channel or partial suction channel and on the other hand with a sufficiently large suction force will.

An embodiment of the invention has also proven to be advantageous in which the suction channel comprises an end channel which emerges from the corresponding carrier plate on both sides, with a suction element of the suction device being connected to one side of the end channel and to the other side of the end channel a free inflow opening is provided. On the one hand, such an end channel is very easy to produce and, on the other hand, opens up the simple possibility of generating a continuous air flow for sucking off the waste parts.

Finally, it has proven to be advantageous to provide the end channel on an outside of the corresponding carrier plate, on which a frame sheet metal is arranged. As a result, the end channel can be produced in a particularly cost-effective manner.

In 1 is shown in a schematic sectional view of a tool for producing a panel, not shown, from a sheet of cardboard, also not shown. The tool designed here as a combined cutting, punching and creasing tool basically comprises a first, upper tool part 10 in the manner of a die and a lower tool part 12 in the manner of a patrix. Cardboard sheets can be introduced between the two tool parts 10, 12 for the production of corresponding panels in a continuous process, with the separation of waste parts and the introduction of folding grooves in a manner described in more detail below by a relative movement of the two tool parts 10, 12 relative to one another, predominantly by moving the first tool part 10 relative to the second tool part 12. In the present case, the tool is shown at least partially open.

The upper tool part 10 is composed of a lower support plate 14 and an upper support plate 16 with an intermediate plate 18 arranged between them. A frame plate 20 is also provided on top of the upper carrier plate 16 . All plates 14 to 18 are accommodated in a holding device 22 with a lateral holding frame 24 and braced against one another.

In the present case, the lower support plate 14 is a multiplex support plate with a central, continuous recess 26, in which a cutting line contour 28 is used, at least essentially with the same shape. In the present case, the cutting line contour 28 is formed from a metal block and essentially comprises three circumferentially closed contour regions 30, by means of which respective waste parts (not shown) arranged parallel to one another can be separated from the cardboard sheet or panel. Consequently, in the present sectional view, six cutting regions 32 of the corresponding cutting line are shown from the cutting line contour 28 . Towards the top, the metal block of the cutting line contour 28 terminates flush on the upper side of the lower support plate 14 or on the underside of the intermediate plate 18 on which the cutting line contour 28 is supported. For this reason, among others, the intermediate plate is made of a steel material with a hardness of, for example, about 50 HRC.

In addition to the central recess 26 for the cutting line contour 28, the lower support plate 14 includes further recesses for respective lateral cutting lines 34 for separating the panel from a large piece of waste and a respective scoring line 36 arranged on the inside thereof for producing a folding groove in the panel.

In the present case, the lower tool part 12 essentially comprises a counter-plate 38, which interacts with the cutting line contour 28, the respective cutting line 34 and the respective creasing line 36 in such a way that the desired cuts of the waste parts or folding grooves result. For this purpose, corresponding grooves 40 are provided in the counter-plate 38 to interact with the scoring lines 36 .

In the present case, a suction channel 44 formed by three partial suction channels 42 in this area adjoins the three circumferentially closed contour regions 30 formed by the cutting line contour 28 for separating the respective waste part. The partial suction channels 42 or the suction channel 44 formed thereby run within the cutting line contour 28 in the upward direction to the intermediate plate 18, in which the partial suction channels 42 are continued in an identical form. Starting from the intermediate plate 18 , the partial suction channels 42 extend over a length in the vertical direction within the upper support plate 16 until they open into an end channel 46 of the suction channel 44 .

The course of the end channel 46 is particularly favorable, as is the shape of the partial suction channels 42 2 recognizable, which the upper support plate 16 in a schematic plan view along a line through the line II - II in 1 represented cutting plane shows. It is particularly evident here that the end channel 46 emerges from the corresponding carrier plate 16 on both sides 48, 50, with a suction element (not shown) of a suction device being connected to one side 48, 50 of the end channel 46 and to the other side of the end channel 46 a free inflow opening 52 is provided. The suction element of the suction device is connected, for example, to a subsequent, further suction channel 54 of the suction device, which runs in the holding frame 24 . By means of the suction device, a continuous flow of suction air can thus be generated within the end channel 46 from the inflow opening 52 to the suction element, ie from one side 48, 50 of the carrier element 16 to the other.

It is clear that the air flow within the end channel could be generated not only by suction but also by blowing in air on one side 48, 50. A suction effect of the suction device on the contour regions 30 of the cutting line contour 28 or within the partial suction channels 42 can thus also be achieved by means of an air flow blown in in this way.

The force of this suction air flow also acts via the partial suction channels 42 to the area of the respective contour areas 30 of the cutting line contour 28, by means of which the respective waste parts are separated from the benefit. During the punching or cutting process, the waste parts are pressed into the partial suction channels 42 and transported further upwards by the suction air flow to the end channel 46, from where further removal takes place via the suction device.

In order to achieve a particularly favorable suction of the waste parts - like this in particular 3 using a snippet and opposite 1 Enlarged view of the tool in the area of the cutting line contour 28 can be seen - the partial suction channels 42 is designed to be larger in cross section than the associated contour areas 30 of the cutting line contour 28. For this reason, in the top view of Fig.2 double lines can also be seen in the area of the partial suction channels 42, since a respective inner line shows the respective contour area 30 of the cutting line contour 28.

In synopsis of Figures 1 and 2 it can also be seen that the end channel 46 is provided on an outer side 56 of the corresponding carrier plate 16 . This is therefore particularly easy to produce in that it is closed off at the top by the frame sheet metal 20 . The upper carrier plate 16 is presently formed from an aluminum alloy, which allows for easy machining.

Overall, it can therefore be seen that a method can be created in the present case in which at least one piece of waste can be separated from the panel using the cutting line contour 28 of the first tool part 10 by interacting with the second tool part 12, which in this case is directed backwards or upwards into the corresponding partial suction channel 42 is pressed and sucked off from here via the suction channel 44 .

The present tool can be used in particular for processing material sheets made of paper or cardboard with thicknesses between 80 g/m 2 and 500 g/m 2 or with a material thickness between about 80 μm and 700 μm. The sheets of material can in particular also be both printed and varnished and also coated with a polymer layer or with a plastic film. Likewise, the material sheets can have a coating with a metal film, for example made of an aluminum material. Of course, combinations of the materials described are also possible are used with a corresponding material sheet. Finally, the sheets of material can also be formed from a laminate or have a composite structure.
