Definitions
- the present invention relates to a hospital and / or nursing bed with a side rail and a side rail for mounting on a corresponding bed.
- a side rail is often needed to prevent a person from accidentally falling out of bed or rolling.
- the side rail extends on at least one of the longitudinal sides of the bed and can be brought into a use and a non-use position. In the use position, the corresponding bed longitudinal side, or at least a portion thereof, should be secured accordingly. When not in use, the long side is released, so that the user can leave the bed unhindered.
- the side rails should not extend above a mattress located on the bed, as this would cause an unpleasant pressure on the thigh for a person sitting on the edge of the bed. In this sense, the side rails in the non-use position should have a compact size as possible.
- the pivot post is in the non-use position in the bed longitudinal direction.
- the spar may be guided at at least one of its ends within a guide of the post.
- the spar may be connected to a sliding block, which is received within the guide.
- a sliding guide is provided for the spar at its two axial ends, which comprises a sliding block.
- the spar may be mounted at both axial ends relative to a post, in particular a pivot post.
- a hospital and / or nursing bed comprises at least one side rail arranged on a bed longitudinal side, wherein the side rail has at least one spar, which is feasible at least at one of its ends via a guide of a post, wherein a pivotable portion of the post in an erect use position and a Non-use position can be brought.
- a section of the spar is arranged in the transverse direction of the bed in front of the post.
- the post includes a pivotable post top, also referred to as a pivot post, and a post base fixed to the bed which supports the pivot post, and preferably, the guide extends over the entire post, that is, the pivot post and the post base.
- Transverse to the bed longitudinal direction refers in particular to a direction in the horizontal, ie in particular the plane of the bed frame.
- the post In the non-use position, the post preferably lies in the plane of the bed frame (or parallel thereto) and is aligned in the bed longitudinal direction. Because of this construction is always a section of the spar in front of the post in the transverse direction of the bed.
- the post is usually made of a painted or anodized (light) metal, such as an aluminum profile.
- the post was outboard in the transverse direction of the bed. Then, when the bed was pushed past the protruding corners or door frame, it could scratch the profile of the post. In particular, two things are achieved by the bed transversely projecting Holm.
- the spar is extended in its longitudinal direction and thus lies in front of the post, so that it is protected against said scratching.
- the post base which serves as a storage for the pivotable part of the post, so the pivot post, protected in the non-use position.
- the portion of the pivot post which lies behind said extension is protected.
- the front of the lying pivot post (ie in the non-use position) lying portion of the spar for a corresponding protection of the post in the non-use position is used.
- a directed in clamping or Scherstellencardi portion is preferably provided on the pivot post and / or the spar through which at a clamping or shear angle of less than 20 °, the distance from the pointed end of the clamping or shear angle to the pivot point of the post more than 10 cm.
- This section is aligned in particular parallel to the longitudinal direction Holml. It is preferably provided as an offset of the spar above the pivot point of the pivot post.
- the leadership of this spar within the post is realized with a sliding block, which is provided below the fulcrum within the post base.
- one of the spars on an overhead portion which extends at a lying in the non-use position side rails in the transverse direction of the bed in front of the post or part of the post and thereby covers at least 60% of the post preferably at least 80% of the post.
- the visible surface of the post forms an aperture which covers the individual components of the side grille.
- the pivot post located behind the spar is protected from mechanical damage.
- the extension can extend over the entire length of the spar.
- the extension may be an integral part of the spar, or a part attached to the spar. It Alternatively or additionally, a cover over the entire length of the beam in the transverse direction of the bed in front of the spar can be mounted, which is wider than the spar upwards.
- the post may preferably comprise an inner guide, in which a sliding block connected to the spar is guided. While such an outer gating zone for the spar outside the post could also provide protection for the gantry against impact or external scratches, this outer gating zone itself could visually damage the post surface.
- the spar may have at least one of its longitudinal ends directed in Holmlteilsraum extension or projection which lies in the transverse direction of the bed in front of the post and covering it in the bed longitudinal direction to at least 50%.
- the projection may be an integral portion of the spar, or a part attached to the spar.
- a cover over the entire length of the beam can be mounted in the transverse direction of the bed in front of the spar, which is longer in the longitudinal direction Holm than the spar. In this way, the post is protected from damage.
- the spar may preferably comprise at least one head piece, which has a fastening extension which engages in a hollow profile of the spar and the remaining visible part of the head piece can lie in bed transverse direction substantially in front of the post.
- the transition from the hollow profile to the head piece on the bed outer side is preferably largely free of shoulders and preferably the thickness of the head piece decreases towards its free end.
- the head piece may preferably be an injection molded part. It may also include the storage of the sliding block, with which the spar is mounted on the post. Said head may be integral with the anti-skid and / or with the spar or it may be a separate part connected to the spar and / or to the skid.
- At least one of at least two uprights can be located completely below the at least one pivot post in the vertical direction.
- the vertical direction is considered in a horizontally oriented bed frame. So a compact design is realized.
- the side rail in its non-use position may have a packing in which a second rail forms an outer contour extending outwardly in the transverse direction of the bed and at least one lying pivot post is arranged therebetween and preferably a first rail is located underneath.
- This also describes a compact design of the side rail in its non-use position. As a result, a pleasant overall picture is first achieved and there are no disturbing components in the way for the service operator.
- a spar in the transverse direction transverse to the bed may comprise a non-slip material made of an abrasion-resistant or abrasion-tolerant material, wherein in particular the material of the main body of the spar against which the antislip is secured differs from the material of the antislip.
- abrasion tolerance is defined as a material that includes high strength but can cause scratches.
- This material is preferably a solid material without a special coating, so that scratches do not stand out optically. It may be a reinforced plastic or a hard rubber or the like.
- the material of the body may preferably be a painted metal profile, scratches are kept away from the body by the shock protection panel.
- the anti-slip protection is made of a homogeneous material at the depths of at least two millimeters at the furthest protruding in the transverse direction of the bed, so that no noticeable material changes are visible in the case of scratches.
- a bed-independent side rail may comprise two posts and at least one spar, the post bases comprising mounting portions for securing the side rail to a bed.
- the spar is arranged in a proper attachment of the side rail to the bed in the transverse direction in front of the post in an erected and / or a non-use position.
- Fig. 1 shows a hospital bed with two arranged on one longitudinal side rails 2 in the non-use position.
- Each of the side rails 2 extends over approximately half the length of the bed, so that by bringing the side rails in the position of use, the entire bed longitudinal side is secured against falling out of a person in bed.
- On the other side of the bed identical side rails can be arranged.
- non-openable side rails can be provided there, since it is generally sufficient if a person can leave the bed to one side.
- the side rail is closed, because then no person can roll or fall from the bed so that it falls flat on the ground or her head first hits the ground. But this person can move inside the bed in the direction of the foot to leave there at a non-closed side rail (this is so in the non-use position) the bed. This in particular prevents the feeling of being locked up.
- a side rail can be used, which in each case comprises a post in the region of the head end 4 and foot end 5 of the bed 1 and so spans the entire bed longitudinal side.
- at least one of the posts may be integrated within the head or foot portion of the bed such that the head or foot end includes a guide for the spars, and in that case the foldability of the respective post discussed below is eliminated.
- a respective second post may be spaced from the top and bottom of the bed and / or integrated into the head and foot ends.
- Fig. 2 a detail of one of the side rails 2, each with two posts 40 is shown.
- the posts 40 are composed of two parts, namely an upper part of a pivot post 40 and a lower part of a post base 60 together.
- the post base 60 includes attachment means (not shown) with which it can be attached to the frame of the bed 1. Via a rotary bearing 42 between the pivot post 40 and the post base 60, the pivot post 40 can be positioned within a vertical bed longitudinal direction between a flat orientation with its longitudinal axis in the bed longitudinal direction and an erect position with the post perpendicular to the plane of the bed frame is panning.
- Fig. 2 further shows two spars 10 and 20 secured in this position against sliding up and down.
- the pivoting posts 40 are first folded up.
- the user engages in the gap that results between the mattress 3 of the bed and the pivoting post 40.
- a locking tab 71 of a lock 70 for engaging in a corresponding latching of the pivot post 40.
- the spars can be raised so that the side rails come into the intermediate position or the use position.
- the user reaches into a recessed grip 23 (FIG. Fig. 11 ) of the second beam 20 and raises it.
- This spar is purely arbitrary and it is not necessary that the existence of a second spar also derives from the existence of a second spar.
- the retaining wire 90 is a stainless steel wire of the diameter of 2 mm, which is sufficiently rigid, that it can not be compressed within the guide exception of the pivot post 40 and on the other hand can be reversibly bent by 90 ° when placing the pivot post 40.
- the corresponding actuating button 45 is pressed on the post.
- the blocking pivot 49 is activated via its bearing 91 Fig. 15 pivoted counterclockwise, so that the positive connection of the driving hook 92 and the locking pivot 49 is released.
- the package of the two spars 10 and 20 is released so that it can be stored in the release position.
- the upper edge of the first spar 10 is at a height level between 35% and 65% of the height level of the upper edge of the respective first spar 10 in the position of use.
- the first spar 10 when the user grasps the holding area 14 of the first spar 10, he can lift the first bar 10, but the second bar 20 is not moved initially.
- the holding area 14 is a trough-like depression, which remains constant over the longitudinal direction of the rail and below the upper edge of the rail, into which a user can grip with the fingertips.
- the first spar 10 also comprises telescopic elements 18 at both ends thereof, on each of which a sliding block 16 is pivotally mounted, which in turn is guided in the sliding guide 41 of the pole 40.
- the sliding block 16 further comprises a driving surface 17, in which the driving hook 92 of the retaining wire 90 engages only when the first spar 10 has been raised sufficiently far.
- Fig. 13 shows for reasons of clarity, only the driving surface 17.
- the additionally located in the sliding guide 41 retaining wire 90 is laterally offset in Fig. 14 shown. If after the engagement of the sliding block 16 with the driving hook 92, the first spar 10 is further raised, so due to the tensile stress within the retaining wire 90 and the second spar 20 is raised. When the first spar 10 is completely raised, so he according to Fig. 13 comes in its upper end position, in which the side rails in its position of use, so engages a latch 19 in the locking pivot 49 and so the first spar 10 is fixed in this position.
- Fig. 5 shows a cutout through the first spar 10. From the handle 30 go out two tie rods 36, which are fastened with their ends to the bolt 19. A spring element 19a ensures that the bolt 19 engages in the pulling up of the first spar 10 in engagement with corresponding locking pivot 49.
- Fig. 6 the detail of the handle 30 of the Fig. 5 shown.
- a gear 34 is arranged in each case.
- the handle 30 includes racks 32 which are engageable with the gears 34. In the illustrated, non-actuated position of the handle 30, however, they are not engaged.
- the possibility of tilting facilitates the ergonomic handling of the side rail, as this way the rails within the guides can not block.
- the direction of movement of the user's hand when releasing the locking means of the handle 30 is directed vertically upwards, ie opposite to the direction of gravity. So can the Users immediately absorb the weight forces with their hand over the handle 30 when the latches have been released.
- a diagonal position can be achieved.
- For the trigger handle 30 is automatically returned to its non-actuated basic position up and the teeth 32,34 is disengaged.
- the guide 41 of the spars 10 and 20 within the pivot posts 40 continues down into the respective post base 60. This ensures that the spars are well guided even in the non-use position and allows the pivot posts 40 can be pivoted in this position in the horizontal position. This results in the compact package of the side grille in the non-use position, as in Fig. 8 shown from the inside of the bed.
- Fig. 9 also shows the compact package of the side rail in the non-use position in a lateral section, in particular the spars 10, 20 and the pivoting post 40 are shown.
- the second spar 20, which is external to the bed, comprises a slip guard 25 made of a damping plastic, such as PVC. If, for example, the bed abuts against a door frame of a room when it is being pushed, contact with this anti-slip device 25 is created. This prevents contact between, for example, the side rail itself and the door frame. Since the main body of the spars 10 and 20, as well as the post 40, 60 is made of a painted or anodized metal, scratches are prevented on the Holmgrund emotions by the anti-slip.
- Both bars 10 and 20 are guided in the same guide 41 of the post 40,60.
- their sliding blocks 16 and 26 one above the other, which also causes, among other things, that the first spar 10 is moved when moving the second spar 20 in the intermediate position.
- the second spar 20 comprises a section 22 located in front of the lying pivoting post 40.
- the portion 22 extends from the upper edge of the first spar 10 to the upper edge of the second spar 20 and the portion 22 has a height h in the vertical direction. In the side rail in the non-use position, the portion 22 is above the pivot point 42 of the bearing of the pivot post 40 relative to the post base 60th
- the length of the extruded base profile of the second spar 20 extends in the position of use to just before the respective pivot post 40.
- a head piece 24 (see Fig. 2 ), which has the same cross section on its contour directed towards the bed outside, as the second spar 20, so that there is a transition without heels.
- the length of the head piece 24 in the bed longitudinal direction is selected such that it covers at least 80%, preferably completely, the posts 40, 60 in an area over the width of the spar. Since the head in the use position is always in the transverse direction of the bed in front of the post 40,60 a protection for both the post base 60 and the pivot post 40 against scratching when moving the bed and a sliding against an environmental structure, such as a door frame is guaranteed.
- Fig. 10 shows the detail view in the lowering of the first spar 10. For reasons of clarity while the post base 60 is not shown.
- the sliding block 16 has at a lower end on a driving pin 16a, for engagement with the lock 70.
- the lock 70 is provided with a bearing pin 72, the in Fig. 10 is shown in a teilxplod Being view stored in the post base 60 and thereby rotatable about the axis A.
- a latch 73 is pivotally mounted about the axis B to the lock 70. During the downward movement of the driver 16 a forces are exerted on the snapper 73. Since this is at the stop of its pivoting freedom with respect to the lock 70, the pivoting movement is transmitted directly to the lock 70.
- Fig. 11 shows an eccentric pin 48, which is secured to the pivot post 40, in a receptacle of a pressure piece 82 which is coupled to a spring 80, which in turn is mounted on the post base 60.
- the pivot post 40 is driven to come to the lying position.
- ⁇ see Fig. 10
- a damper 84 in particular a gas pressure or fluid damper, is provided, which is connected in parallel to the spring 80 and engages the pressure piece 82.
- Fig. 16 shows a side view of a largely located in the non-use position side rail, but with one of the pivot posts 40 is in the einschwenkenden movement.
- a finger 9 of a user who is in a crimped position between the upper edge 22a of the beam 20, namely the in Fig. 9 shown portion 22, and the pivot post 40 is located.
- bruising can occur when the angle ⁇ is less than about 20 °. Namely, if this angle ⁇ is larger than about 20 and then a user puts his finger to the end of the angle ⁇ pushes and then pivots down the pivot post 40, the finger will move within the narrowing gap to the outside, without causing a pinch. Only from an angle ⁇ of less than about 20 °, the force components are normal to the gap so large that the finger can not be pushed out and it can come at correspondingly large forces to pinch.
- Fig. 17 shows a comparable situation of a known from the prior art side bars is known. This is also foldable.
- Both spars have the same thickness, which corresponds to about half of the post thickness. So the post is in the non-use position completely above the two bars.
- Both upper edges of the spars lie in the non-use position, ie below the lower edge of the posts.
- the difference from the embodiment described above is that the already described section 22 in the embodiment of the Fig. 17 not included.
- a finger 9 are pinched. It is true that the critical clamping angle ⁇ is identical.
- the height of the section 22 should be at least 50% of the thickness of the pivot post 40 for effecting the improvement, the thickness being determined in the vertical direction of a post folded down into the bed frame plane.
- the upper limit of said height may preferably be 150% of this thickness of the pivot post 40.
- the distance d from the pivot point 42 at an opening angle ⁇ of 20 ° to the acute angle is more than 10 cm.
- a distance d2 can be defined as the distance from the fulcrum 42 to a point at which, at an opening angle ⁇ of 20 °, the gap width is about one centimeter. This gap width corresponds to the thickness of a finger which can be clamped in the gap. In this case, the distance d2 should be more than 12 cm to prevent pinching.

A hospital and / or nursing bed comprises at least one side rail arranged on a bed longitudinal side, wherein the side rail has at least one spar, which is feasible at least at one of its ends via a guide of a post, wherein a pivotable portion of the post in an erect use position and a Non-use position can be brought. In the used and / or non-use position, a section of the spar is arranged in the transverse direction of the bed in front of the post. The post includes a pivotable post top, also referred to as a pivot post, and a post base fixed to the bed which supports the pivot post, and preferably, the guide extends over the entire post, that is, the pivot post and the post base. Transverse to the bed longitudinal direction refers in particular to a direction in the horizontal, ie in particular the plane of the bed frame. In the non-use position, the post preferably lies in the plane of the bed frame (or parallel thereto) and is aligned in the bed longitudinal direction. Because of this construction is always a section of the spar in front of the post in the transverse direction of the bed. The post is usually made of a painted or anodized (light) metal, such as an aluminum profile. In conventionally known embodiments, the post was outboard in the transverse direction of the bed. Then, when the bed was pushed past the protruding corners or door frame, it could scratch the profile of the post. In particular, two things are achieved by the bed transversely projecting Holm. First, the spar is extended in its longitudinal direction and thus lies in front of the post, so that it is protected against said scratching. In particular, the post base, which serves as a storage for the pivotable part of the post, so the pivot post, protected in the non-use position. When the side rail is in its position of use, the portion of the pivot post which lies behind said extension is protected. In addition, the front of the lying pivot post (ie in the non-use position) lying portion of the spar for a corresponding protection of the post in the non-use position is used.
It results between one side of the pivot post and an adjacent edge or surface of a spar, a clamping or shearing point. In this case, a directed in clamping or Scherstellenrichtung portion is preferably provided on the pivot post and / or the spar through which at a clamping or shear angle of less than 20 °, the distance from the pointed end of the clamping or shear angle to the pivot point of the post more than 10 cm. This section is aligned in particular parallel to the longitudinal direction Holml. It is preferably provided as an offset of the spar above the pivot point of the pivot post. The leadership of this spar within the post is realized with a sliding block, which is provided below the fulcrum within the post base. At an acute angle of less than 20 ° there is an increased risk that a user may pinch his fingers. This danger is less at larger angles, since the finger is pushed out of the decreasing slot rather than the terminals. Only when the angle falls below the above value does the force proportion outweigh the gap direction, so that the risk of jamming increases. It turns out that at a greater height of the above-mentioned portion above the pivot point of the pivot post, the distance of the critical clamping conditions from the pivot increases. If it is considered that the maximum clamping force results over the lever length of the pivot post length, then it results from the law of levers that the clamping forces are reduced with a higher distance of the clamping point from the pivot point.
Preferably, one of the spars on an overhead portion which extends at a lying in the non-use position side rails in the transverse direction of the bed in front of the post or part of the post and thereby covers at least 60% of the post preferably at least 80% of the post. First of all, there is the visual effect that, when the post is covered by 100%, the visible surface of the post forms an aperture which covers the individual components of the side grille. In addition, the pivot post located behind the spar is protected from mechanical damage. The extension can extend over the entire length of the spar. The extension may be an integral part of the spar, or a part attached to the spar. It Alternatively or additionally, a cover over the entire length of the beam in the transverse direction of the bed in front of the spar can be mounted, which is wider than the spar upwards.
In particular, no sliding surface of a guide of the spar can be provided on the outside of the post. Further, the post may preferably comprise an inner guide, in which a sliding block connected to the spar is guided. While such an outer gating zone for the spar outside the post could also provide protection for the gantry against impact or external scratches, this outer gating zone itself could visually damage the post surface.
Preferably, the spar may have at least one of its longitudinal ends directed in Holmlängsrichtung extension or projection which lies in the transverse direction of the bed in front of the post and covering it in the bed longitudinal direction to at least 50%. The projection may be an integral portion of the spar, or a part attached to the spar. In particular, a cover over the entire length of the beam can be mounted in the transverse direction of the bed in front of the spar, which is longer in the longitudinal direction Holm than the spar. In this way, the post is protected from damage.
Further, the spar may preferably comprise at least one head piece, which has a fastening extension which engages in a hollow profile of the spar and the remaining visible part of the head piece can lie in bed transverse direction substantially in front of the post. The transition from the hollow profile to the head piece on the bed outer side is preferably largely free of shoulders and preferably the thickness of the head piece decreases towards its free end. The head piece may preferably be an injection molded part. It may also include the storage of the sliding block, with which the spar is mounted on the post. Said head may be integral with the anti-skid and / or with the spar or it may be a separate part connected to the spar and / or to the skid.
In particular, in the state of the folded-down pivot post, at least one of at least two uprights can be located completely below the at least one pivot post in the vertical direction. The vertical direction is considered in a horizontally oriented bed frame. So a compact design is realized.
Hierdurch wird zunächst ein angenehmes Gesamtbild erzielt und es sind für das Service-Bedienpersonal keine störenden Bauteile im Weg.Alternatively and / or additionally, the side rail in its non-use position may have a packing in which a second rail forms an outer contour extending outwardly in the transverse direction of the bed and at least one lying pivot post is arranged therebetween and preferably a first rail is located underneath. This also describes a compact design of the side rail in its non-use position. As a result, a pleasant overall picture is first achieved and there are no disturbing components in the way for the service operator.
Furthermore, preferably a spar in the transverse direction transverse to the bed may comprise a non-slip material made of an abrasion-resistant or abrasion-tolerant material, wherein in particular the material of the main body of the spar against which the antislip is secured differs from the material of the antislip. As Abriebfest a material of sufficient hardness is called, in which no damage, such as scratches are visible in shock or sliding or cockroaches. This can be, for example, a stainless steel strip. The abrasion tolerance is defined as a material that includes high strength but can cause scratches. This material is preferably a solid material without a special coating, so that scratches do not stand out optically. It may be a reinforced plastic or a hard rubber or the like. Since the material of the body may preferably be a painted metal profile, scratches are kept away from the body by the shock protection panel. The anti-slip protection is made of a homogeneous material at the depths of at least two millimeters at the furthest protruding in the transverse direction of the bed, so that no noticeable material changes are visible in the case of scratches.
Accordingly, a bed-independent side rail may comprise two posts and at least one spar, the post bases comprising mounting portions for securing the side rail to a bed. At the side rails, a portion of the spar is arranged in a proper attachment of the side rail to the bed in the transverse direction in front of the post in an erected and / or a non-use position.

Alternatively, a side rail can be used, which in each case comprises a post in the region of the

For clarity, located within the

Preferably, the distance d from the
The terms "vertical", or "above" and "below" refer to a bed in which the bed frame is oriented horizontally. With an inclination of the bed frame, corresponding deviations may result, but have no influence on the above relationships.
