Description

The invention relates to a light escape sign luminaire with at least one housing, a pictogram associated with a light exit opening of the housing and a light distribution device, which is associated with a plurality of first lighting means.

Such escape sign lights are arranged along escape routes in buildings or the like. The corresponding icon usually has an arrow for displaying the escape route and a running figure. In an emergency, the pictogram is intended to locate an exit from the building, through which, for example, in case of fire or at least smoke within the building, corresponding persons can leave the building.

The light distribution device of the luminaire serves to illuminate the pictogram as uniformly as possible, as required, for example, in the corresponding standards EN1838, ISO30061 or ISO3864. The pictogram has a static image that is immutable.

In hazardous situations, in which the escape route indicated by such a light is no longer usable, additional lights are required, for example, indicate a danger along this escape route or prohibit the use of the indicated escape route. D. h., Additional lights are required, for example, to cancel the escape route display by the above light and to point people to other escape routes.

A describes a traffic sign with various symbols and expressions. There is a general lighting by means of a light source, which is arranged on a back of the corresponding character or along edges of a light guide plate. In the corresponding light guide plate openings are also provided in which additional bulbs can be arranged.

WO 2013/083869 A1 describes a escape sign lamp from a number of different plate-shaped segments, which are held together by means of a frame rail at the top. A segment has a number of structures that give an overall "X".

EP2184628 A2 describes a escape sign lamp according to the preamble of claim 1.

The invention has for its object to improve a rescue sign lamp of the type mentioned in that only with this escape sign an escape route guidance can be made possible in particular even when no longer usable displayed escape route.

This object is solved by the features of patent claim 1.

According to the invention, the luminaire additionally has a number of second luminous means which are arranged or controllable in a predetermined pattern, the pattern being visually perceptible when the second luminous means are switched on through the pictogram from outside the luminaire.

That is, by operating the second lighting means in addition to the usual escape route display by the icon, a pattern is generated that the escape route guidance canceled or at least changed by the icon.

In a simple embodiment, this can be done, for example, by the pattern being X-shaped. Such a pattern is usually interpreted as meaning that the previous information, i. H. the display of the escape route is no longer valid.

The pattern may be further emphasized by being in a corresponding signal color, wherein the second illuminants are, for example, red light emitting LEDs. This red X is clearly visible from outside the luminaire and is understood as a signal that the escape route guidance through the pictogram is no longer to follow. An actuation of the second lighting means can be carried out, for example, if appropriate messages for escape route change of fire or smoke detectors are transmitted to a light management system or directly to the light. In this case, the second bulbs are turned on and the corresponding pattern is visible from outside the light and indicates that the indicated escape route should no longer be used.

At this point, it should again be noted that, of course, differently colored signal colors are possible, as long as they are visually recognizable in comparison to the pictogram. It is sufficient if the corresponding pattern attracts a high level of attention and a corresponding signal effect is achieved by the second lighting means. Also possible are LEDs in RGB design, which are particularly suitable for a color change.

In order to arrange the second lighting means in a simple manner and easily controllable within the lamp, there is the possibility that the second lighting means are arranged on a support. An example of a carrier is a printed circuit board. This printed circuit board may have different patterns of second light sources, these patterns may be arranged individually or in combination on the circuit board. In this connection, there is a possibility that one of the patterns may be used as required by turning on the corresponding second lighting means constituting this pattern.

Further examples of such a carrier are flexible films as LED carriers, so-called MID (Molded Interconnected Devices) devices, or the use of chip-on-glass technology. Some of these other supports also allow the use of housing parts as parts of trace and electronic components.

In order to emphasize possibly the pattern formed by the second illuminant with respect to the illuminated by the first illuminant icon more, it is possible that the first lighting means are dimmable and / or off. That when using the second light source necessary for the illumination of the pictogram first light source are at least dimmed or even off.

A good possibility for the uniform illumination of a pictogram can be seen therein, if the light distribution device is a light guide plate and the first lighting means are arranged along at least one light entry edge of the light guide plate. About this light-incident edge or edges, the light is introduced into the light guide plate and returned through this in the direction of the icon.

In order to further improve the illumination of the pictogram, the light guide plate may have a surface structure for light extraction on at least one light exit side associated with the light exit opening. Such a surface structure is for example a printed pattern, lasered structures, a structure of microlenses or the like. These serve to ensure that the pictogram has the same sanctity everywhere.

For example, an upper, lower or lateral edge of the light guide plate along which the corresponding first lighting means are arranged is used as the corresponding light entry edge. Of course, it is also possible to supply the corresponding light from the first lighting means via a plurality of light entry edges.

The light guide plate may be formed of opaque or transparent material.

Furthermore, it can be regarded as favorable if the pictogram is assigned, for example, to the light exit side of the light guide plate. In this case, the icon may have corresponding dimensions as this light exit side.

It should be noted that escape-sign luminaires can also be used which have a corresponding pictogram on both sides, in which connection two light-guiding plates with corresponding first luminous means can be used, for example. It is also conceivable in this connection that both side pictograms are uniformly illuminated by only one light guide plate with surface structures arranged on the two light exit sides assigned to the pictograms.

At least in one-sided arranged to the light guide plate pictogram, it is also advantageous if light is optionally reflected from the light guide plate opposite to the direction of the icon emerging light. For this purpose, the light guide plate may be associated with a reflecting device on its inner side facing away from the pictogram and assigning it to the second light source. This reflection device can be arranged directly on the corresponding inner side or else in addition to the light guide plate in the form of, for example, a reflection plate or the like. As a rule, a white reflection plate is sufficient, although a mirroring of such a reflection plate is also possible.

Due to the reflection plate, light which otherwise escapes via the inside of the light guide plate is deflected towards the front in the direction of the pictogram, whereby the efficiency of the luminaire is improved.

The reflection device is usually arranged directly adjacent to the light guide plate, d. H. that it is arranged, for example, between the light guide plate and the second lighting means. In order to make it possible in this connection for the second luminous means to be sufficiently visible from outside the luminaire to display the pattern, the reflection device can have light passage sections assigned to the second luminous means. These can be formed, for example, by the fact that positions of the reflection device assigned to the second illuminants do not know them but are transparent.

A corresponding pictogram can be formed in different ways, wherein it is formed directly on the light exit side of the light guide plate, on a in the direction of the light exit opening of the light exit side of the light guide plate upstream film or plate. In general, the pictogram is produced by screen printing or the like, which is usually composed of a white and a green color. If the corresponding plate with the pictogram consists of opaque material, for example, printing the pictogram with a green color suffices. If the corresponding plate or foil is transparent, the pictogram is usually applied by a white and then a green print.

In order to enable a corresponding permeability for the second luminous means for the representation of the corresponding pattern in this printing of the pictogram, it is conceivable that the pictogram in the regions assigned to the second luminous means is essentially screened and / or structured in a pictogram-free manner. That is, in these areas, no corresponding icon is printed, but by the fine grid or fine structures that are free of icon color, the light of the second light source is transmitted. It is usually sufficient if the pictogram-free areas with appropriate screening or fine structures are formed only where actually the pattern should be visible when switching on the second light source. The corresponding pictogram-free areas then allow, for example, the red light of the second illuminant to pass through, and the pattern is easily visible from outside the luminaire, in particular even when the first illuminant is dimmed or switched off.

In order optionally not to let an X-shaped structure through the pictogram-free areas on the pictogram visible in a backlit during normal operation pictogram, and the entire icon can be correspondingly rasterized and / or structured. With such a completely screened or structured pictogram, the corresponding light from the second lighting means can emerge everywhere through the non-printed areas, which need not additionally be provided in a structure similar to the pattern. As a result of the complete screening or structuring, no disturbing X-shaped structure is produced as a corresponding pattern in the case of a pictogram which is backlit in normal operation.

It was noted above that in addition a reflection device can be arranged adjacent to the light guide plate. This can also be dispensed with if, for example, a housing rear wall of the housing assigned to the light guide plate and provided with the second luminous means and / or the printed circuit board is or are reflective with the second luminous means. The corresponding Reflective training can again be realized by using a white surface.

It should be noted that even with a complete screening or structuring and accordingly in the entire area of the pictogram existing pictogram-free areas by the correspondingly fine screening and structuring of these areas sufficient visibility of the icon during normal operation is guaranteed in any case. At the same time, it is made possible that no pattern corresponding to the arrangement of the second luminous means is visible in the overall appearance of the pictogram, but corresponding pictogram-free regions are present through the fine screening / structuring over the entire dimension of the pictogram.

When displaying a pattern or when displaying different patterns, it is generally further advantageous in this context if, if appropriate, the second lighting means can each be controlled individually. For example, in the case of an X-shaped arrangement of the second light-emitting means, it is possible to switch the light-emitting means on and off in time using the X arms so that a dynamic pattern is generated. This also applies to other patterns or combinations of patterns that can be switched on and off at different times or in succession, for example.

FIG. 1 shows an oblique plan view of a lamp according to the invention 1. This comprises a frame-shaped housing 2, which surrounds a light exit opening 3 in the region of a pictogram 4. The housing 2 serves to receive and arrange corresponding parts of the luminaire, such as a pictogram, Lichtverteileinrichtung 5, see also FIGS. 4 and 5 , and corresponding lighting means 6, 7. In addition, a lamp associated with the electronics and control can be arranged within the housing.

The pictogram 4 represents an escape route display comprising an arrow and a running figure. The arrow is usually made of a white color, while the figure and border of the arrow are formed in a green color. The figure is located in front of a white background 22. The pictogram 4 comprises a pattern 8, which is formed by fine screening or structures and pictogram-free regions 18 formed in this area. In the example shown, the pattern is X-shaped and extends in both the green and white areas, see also FIG. 2 ,

In FIG. 2 is a part of the pictogram 4 after FIG. 1 shown enlarged. Again, the pattern 8 is visible through corresponding pictogram-free areas 18. The pictogram-free areas result from the fine screening or structuring of the pictogram, with approximately circular small areas of this screening or structuring being free of the corresponding pictogram colors. This applies to both the green and white areas, see, for example, background 22 FIG. 1 ,

Instead of an X-shaped screening or structuring of the pictogram-free regions 18, there is also the possibility that the screening or structuring is present over the entire pictogram, see FIG. 3 with screening and pictogram-free areas 18. In this case, there is no X-shaped pattern after Figures 1 and 2 because the corresponding screening or structuring and pictogram-free regions 18 are formed in the entire region of the pictogram 4.

The corresponding structuring and pictogram-free regions 18 serve to pass light from second light sources 7, see FIGS. 4 and 5 in order to be able to recognize the corresponding pattern 8 from outside the luminaire. If the pattern 8 is highlighted by switching on the second lighting means 6, the actual meaning of the escape route display of the icon is canceled. For this purpose, first lighting means 6, see again FIGS. 4 and 5 , dimmed or completely switched off, which are used for uniform illumination of the pictogram 4.

In the FIGS. 4 and 5 are exploded views of the light 1 after FIG. 1 illustrated for two embodiments. The housing 2 is usually made of several parts, wherein a frame-shaped structure surrounds the light exit opening 3 and this is fastened to a housing rear wall 21. Within the housing 2 pictogram 4, light distribution device 5, reflection means 16 and circuit board 11 are arranged. The pictogram 4 is formed, for example, by printing on a film or plate 19, which can be handled separately and is provided on a side facing the light exit opening 3 with the pictogram 4. If the film or plate 19 is transparent, then the pictogram 4 is usually applied by printing first a white and then a green color. If the foil or plate is opaque, the printing of the pictogram is sufficient by means of a green color. Simultaneously with imprints of the corresponding colors, the production of the pictogram-free areas 18 to form the corresponding pattern 8, see also FIGS. 1 to 3 , If no corresponding pattern 8 is produced directly by the pictogram-free regions by means of fine screening and structures, a complete screening or structuring can also take place, see FIG. 3 with the pictogram-free areas 18.

The pictogram is associated with a light exit side 15 of the light distribution device 5. This light distribution device 5 is designed in the form of a light guide plate 12. Along at least one light entry edge 13, see the lower edge in FIG FIG. 4 , a number of first light sources 6 are arranged in the form of LEDs 9. These are arranged as LED strips along the light entry edge 13. The light is fed in via this light entry edge 13 when the first light means 6 are switched on. The light guide plate has surface structures via which light is extracted in the direction of the pictogram 4 or the corresponding foil or plate 19. The surface structure 14 is arranged over the entire surface on the corresponding light exit side 15 in order to illuminate the corresponding pictogram 4 uniformly. The surface structure 14 may be made by laser printing, pattern printing, or by microlenses.

In order to prevent the light guide plate 12 from emitting light on one of the light exit side 15 opposite inner side 20, this side is as a rule associated with a reflection device 16 in the form of, for example, a white plate. This deflects otherwise in the direction of the housing rear wall 21 emerging light in the direction of the icon. This increases the efficiency of the luminaire.

According to the invention, the corresponding reflection device 16 has light passage sections 17 which, for example, are not white, but are transparent. These light transmission sections 17 have a shape analogous to the pattern 8. In particular, the arrangement of the light passage sections 17 also corresponds to the arrangement of the second luminous means 7 on the printed circuit board 11. These second luminous means 7 are likewise LEDs 10 which, for example, emit red light. When the second light sources 7 are switched on, this red light is transmitted to the outside via the light transmission sections 17, the light guide plate 12 and the pictogram-free regions 18 of the pictogram 4, so that the corresponding pattern 8 can be seen from outside the light 1. The pattern 8 is reproduced not only by the pictogram-free regions 18 of the pictogram, but also by the light passage sections 17 and the arrangement of the second light-emitting means 7. In particular, the pattern is after FIG. 4 X-shaped.

Other patterns or the arrangement of a plurality of patterns are also possible, wherein these are separately switchable in the case of a plurality of patterns by switching on or off respective second illuminating means 7 assigned to the respective pattern. It is also possible for each individual second illuminant 7 to be actuated separately so that, for example, in the case of an X-shaped pattern, the second illuminants 7 are switched on and off in a time-offset manner from the point of intersection of the pattern to the outside, resulting in a dynamic pattern. This is also possible with different patterns, so that with different patterns only individual patterns are displayed or even different patterns are selected in combination.

The corresponding drive device of the second luminous means 7 is contained in the luminaire 1 and, for example, part of a microcontroller of the luminaire 1.

According to the embodiment FIG. 4 is the Lichtverteileinrichtung 5 of an opaque material, while at FIG. 5 made of a transparent material. Otherwise the comments apply to FIG. 4 analogous for FIG. 5 in which a second embodiment of a corresponding lamp 1 is shown.

By using transparent material for the light distribution device 6 in the form of a light guide plate 12, the entire pattern 8 can be seen on the reflection device 16. In this case, at least each of the second lighting means 7 is associated with a corresponding light transmission section 17.

In a further embodiment, not shown, can also be dispensed with the reflection means 16. In this case, an inside of the housing rear wall 21 and the corresponding circuit board 11 is formed as a reflection means. This can be done by designing the corresponding parts white. It should also be noted at this point that the second lighting means 7 can be designed both for emitting red light and differently colored light. However, a corresponding red X-shaped pattern has a corresponding signal effect which cancels the corresponding escape route display by the icon 4. If other information is to be signaled, other colors for the second light source 7 are conceivable.
