Zusätzliche Bearbeitungsschritte stellen einen hohen Arbeits- und Kostenaufwand dar. Ferner können beim Herstellungsprozess von Gussarmaturen auch Lunker oder dergleichen Gussfehler auftreten, die zu Problemen bei der nachfolgenden spanenden Weiterverarbeitung oder Oberflächenbehandlung der Gussarmaturen führen.
