Claims (6)

  1. A method for producing a corner cladding of a wall skirting in the region of a wall corner, wherein the corner cladding is made of the same material as the floor covering and the remaining wall skirting, especially of PVC, caoutchouc, linoleum or related materials, wherein the corner cladding is made of a first strip-shaped component (1) and a second strip-shaped component (2), in that the first strip-shaped component (1) and the second strip-shaped component (2)
    (a) are successively introduced into a shaping apparatus for bending along their longitudinal axes;
    (b) are heated therein in a bending region (3);
    (c) are coated in the convex portion of the bending region (3) with an edge support wedge (4) made of permanently elastic plastic, and
    (d) are then mitred subsequently on a narrow side for forming a contact line (5) along a wall edge and a contact line (6) along a base, wherein the contact lines (5, 6) are provided with a round transition (7) in the bending region (3) of the strip-shape component (1, 2);
    and in that, once these steps (a) to (d) were carried out on both strip-shaped components, the components (1 2) are placed in an abutting manner along the contact lines (5, 6) and along the abutting region (7), the components (1 2) are connected in an abutting manner with each other along their contact lines and in an abutting region, and the butt joint (8) on the rear side of the corner cladding is covered with a plastic moulding compound for forming a reinforcement (9).
  2. A method according to claim 1, characterized in that the connection between the contact lines (5, 6) and the transition (7) in the butt joint (8) occurs in a separate operation, e.g. by gluing or by welding, before the butt joint (8) is covered on the rear side by a plastic moulding compound (9).
  3. A method according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the cutting of the two components (1 2), their deformation for producing the bending region (3), the application of the edge support wedge (4), and the connection of the two components (1 2) along their contact lines (5, 6) and the production of the cover on the rear side of the butt joint (8) made of plastic moulding compound (9) for producing a corner cladding ready for mounting are carried out by way of factory production.

  5. A method according to one of the preceding claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the layer thickness of the reinforcement (9) made of plastic moulding compound in the convex portion of the abutting region (7) is applied in a range of 1 to 4 mm and at the free end of the contact lines (5, 6) in a range of 0 to 2 mm.
  6. A method according to one of the preceding claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the corner cladding is pre-fabricated by production in the factory.
