Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a lint filter device for a domestic appliance, in particular a tumble dryer or a washer-dryer, which comprises a first lint filter and at least one second lint filter. Furthermore, the invention relates to a household appliance for the care of laundry with such a lint filter device.
There are known tumble dryer, in which only a lint filter is used as lint filter. In tumble dryers which have a heat pump, a second lint filter or a second lint filter is usually used to protect the finely laminated heat exchanger of the heat pump. The two lint filters are designed as separate components and positioned at different locations in the household appliance. For proper functionality it is necessary that both fluff filters be cleaned regularly after a certain period of use of the appliance.
Due to the local positioning a lint filter during unloading and loading of the dryer is usually in the field of view of the user, so that due to the easier accessibility and with the recognition of the lint filter and the awareness of the user in terms of its cleaning is given. The other lint filter is usually only accessible via a separate flap, which is usually also mounted relatively low on the floor of the home appliance. As a result, the cleaning of this lint filter does not directly enter the user's consciousness and is often forgotten. This leads to a functional impairment of the domestic appliance. Just the maintenance of this second lint filter is important, however, since usually settle in this the finer lint and enforce the airways there relatively strong after repeated operating cycles, so that the amount of air is throttled. Not least of all, the operating behavior of the domestic appliance is thus also worsened with regard to the energy consumption and the time required for a cleaning program.
It is an object of the present invention to simplify the handling of a lint filter device with a plurality of lint filters and in particular to improve the possibility of cleaning.
This object is achieved by a lint filter device having the features of
A lint filter device according to the invention for a domestic appliance comprises a first lint filter and at least one further second lint filter. The two lint filters are connected to each other and still movable relative to each other. By such a configuration of the lint filter device, a coherent overall construct can be created, which can be easily and inexpensively mounted due to the flexible mobility at specific locations in the household appliance and removed from there again. In addition, the plurality of lint filters are always connected and are generally available for cleaning purposes in their entirety. Even with a plurality of lint filters, therefore, all are always cleaned and lint filters, which are arranged at positions not lying in the field of view in the domestic appliance, are not forgotten in terms of cleaning. Last but not least, the operating behavior of the household appliance can be significantly improved thereby.
Preferably, the two lint filters are interconnected by a hinge device. The hinge device may be of relatively simple construction and may have a connecting arm, possibly also a plurality of such connecting arms, which is rotatably arranged or mounted on a lint filter. In addition to a space-saving, yet highly flexible connection construction, a very component-minimized and thus cost-effective concept can thereby be made possible.
Preferably, the two lint filters are spaced from one another. Precisely because of the requirements with regard to the local positioning of the respective lint filter in the household appliance can be taken into account and still maintain the mechanical connection. Also, the relative mobility to each other can be made very flexible by this positioning.
Preferably, the connection between the two lint filters is designed so that they are translationally and / or rotationally movable relative to each other.
An inventive household appliance for the care of laundry items, in particular a clothes dryer or a washer-dryer, comprises a lint filter device according to the invention or an advantageous embodiment thereof.
Preferably, the first lint filter is arranged in a bearing plate of the household appliance.
The second lint filter is preferably arranged in the flow direction of the process air in the domestic appliance in front of a heat exchanger. In particular, when the domestic appliance is designed with a heat pump, this second lint filter is positioned in front of the heat pump. The very fine lint can be filtered out and the air passages through the heat pump are not added by these finer lint.
The entire lint filter device can preferably be removed via a common shaft of the domestic appliance, in particular via the end shield, and can also be reused therefor.
