Claims (36)
- Device for drawing at least one material web (01) and/or at least one strand comprising several material webs into a folding apparatus having an upper structure (03), at least one fold former (08), a cross-cutting device (24) for the separation of material web (01) transported in the upper structure (03) and folded on the fold former (08) into individual products and at least one guide rail (09), on which a retaining member (51, 19) can be fixed to a leading end (54) of at least one material web (01), is guided moveably through the upper structure (03) on a path of this material web (01), characterized in that several guide rail elements (09; 12; 13; 32; 33) are located, and in that these guide rail elements (09; 12; 13; 32; 33) unite with the guide rail (09) before the cross-cutting device (24) and after at least one fold former (08).
- Device according to Claim 1, characterized in that the guide rail (09) is twisted at the height of the fold former (08).

- Device according to Claim 10 or 11, characterized in that the guide rail (09) has a curved section (37) between the guillotine (36) and the entrance of the cross-cutting device (24) and extends beyond at the entrance of the cross-cutting device (24).
- Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that in extension of the at least one guide rail (09) a store (41) for the acceptance of retaining parts (19, 51) is located on the other side of the fold former (08).
- Device according to Claim 13, characterized in that the store (41) is formed by a spiral or helical piece of rail.

- Method according to Claim 31, in which the second material web is only guided to the joining point (29; 31) when the retaining part (19, 51) of the first material web (01) has passed the joining point (29; 31).
- Method according to one of Claims 31 to 32, in which the material webs (01) are guided through the cross-cutting device (24) on the guide rail (09).
- Method according to one of Claims 31 to 33, characterized in that- the material webs (01) are guided past to the cross-cutting device (24) by a cap device (36) upstream of the cross-cutting device (24) and initially with the aid of the guide rail (09),- if the tips (54) of all material webs (01) have passed the cap device (36), this is actuated to cap the material webs (01), and- the leading end (54) resulting on capping enters into the cross-cutting device (24).
