Definitions
- the invention relates to a protective barrier along a roadway according to the features in the preamble of protection claim. 1
- Such protective barrier strands are known in the art, for example by the FR 2 811 344 known. They have a substantially parallel to the roadway extending spar of round wood sections, which is supported by spacers anchored in the ground post. The front sides of two consecutive round wood sections adjoin one another. The round wood sections have on their underside a vertical groove in which a steel strip is arranged. The steel strip projects beyond the ends of the roundwood section in length. When installed, therefore, overlap the steel bands end in the grooves. Bolt bolts pass through the roundwood sections and the steel straps and optionally the spacers and couple them together so that the coupled steel straps form a tension belt.
- a protective barrier of the above-described design is particularly intended for lanes in rural areas, primarily forest areas, and should visually achieve an adaptation to the environment.
- the junctions between two roundwood sections are designed to be relatively unstable and, in particular, can offer only a small amount of resistance to heavy motor vehicles, such as middle and upper class passenger cars and heavy goods vehicles. It should be noted that the round wood sections inevitably can only get a certain maximum diameter, so as not to affect the desired visual impression.
- Unfavorable is the well-known safety barrier also in terms of its installation.
- the steel bands must overlap in the grooves.
- the free Ends of the steel strips are threaded into the respective adjacent end of a roundwood section, which often proves to be extremely difficult in practice.
- the bolts must be inserted through the roundwood sections and the overlapping ends of the steel straps before they can be attached to the spacers.
- the metal bands are coupled by tie tabs.
- the locking lugs are provided in the form of flat iron, which come to one side of the metal bands to the plant. Slots in the roundwood sections make it easy to insert the locking tabs.
- the invention is based on the prior art based on the object to improve a protective barrier of the generic type so that this impacting objects opposes a higher resistance.
- the locking tabs are U-shaped configured with two legs, which are interconnected by a web, and that the locking tabs engage over the ends of two adjacent metal bands, the ends being received between the legs.
- the metal bands are coupled via locking tabs, so that a continuous tension belt is formed in the spar.
- the tension belt ensures the protective function of the guard rail, even if individual posts should cancel, for example, due to a direct impact.
- the metal bands cross lug of the protective barrier strand is reliably stabilized at the coupling points.
- An introduction of adverse moments in the log sections, a kink at the coupling point or splicing the Round wood sections is counteracted.
- Due to the high dimensional stability, the tensile strength of the tension belt is substantially higher than in known embodiments of the prior art.
- the locking tabs are designed symmetrically.
- the web has a slot running in the web longitudinal direction.
- the locking lugs are made of one piece of sheet metal by punching and folding.
- the slot facilitates the folding of the latch plate.
- the web is provided along the upper longitudinal edges of the legs.
- the bolt latch can be pushed from the top of the ends of the metal bands during assembly of the guard rail and then attached together with these on the post.
- the roundwood sections are attached to the posts at the ends with the inclusion of spacers.
- the spacers act as a buffer between the roundwood sections and the posts, so that the posts are not damaged in light collision accidents.
- the anchoring of the posts next to the roadway is made possible.
- the locking tabs, the metal bands, the Rundholzabitese and the spacers have aligned holes and are connected through the holes passing through bolts.
- a round wood section can thus be loosely fastened to a spacer at the end with the inclusion of a locking lug with a screw bolt.
- the second round wood section is to be positioned, wherein the locking tab is to be inserted into the adjacent slot. Once the holes in the second log section and in the spacer flush a bolt can be inserted and a solid connection can be made. Finally, the bolt should be tightened on the first roundwood section.
- the holes in the locking tabs and / or spacers can be designed as pointing in the direction of the spar slots.
- the elongated holes facilitate assembly, because they allow a length compensation.
- the compliance behavior of a guardrail strand can support the slots because within the connection in the event of an impact the clearance is exploited before the full load acts in the connection area.
- the possibility of length compensation is also advantageous during the service life, because the materials of the components used have different coefficients of thermal expansion. Possibly occurring adverse voltages can be counteracted.
- the locking tabs can be attached transversely to the screw bolts via transverse slots on the outer bores. This feature allows first loosely attaching the roundwood sections to the spacers via the outer holes, then inserting the coupling tabs from above through the slots and then inserting the inner bolts. Subsequently, all bolts are tightened and clamped the connection. Thus, the assembly is again significantly simplified by this design.
- FIGS. 1 to 5 the protective barrier strand 1 according to the invention is shown in fragmentary detail in several views.
- Such protective barrier strands 1 are usually arranged along roadways. They have a spar 2, which is mounted under inclusion of spacers 3 to post 4.

Description
The invention relates to a protective barrier along a roadway according to the features in the preamble of protection claim. 1
A protective barrier of the above-described design is particularly intended for lanes in rural areas, primarily forest areas, and should visually achieve an adaptation to the environment.
The junctions between two roundwood sections are designed to be relatively unstable and, in particular, can offer only a small amount of resistance to heavy motor vehicles, such as middle and upper class passenger cars and heavy goods vehicles. It should be noted that the round wood sections inevitably can only get a certain maximum diameter, so as not to affect the desired visual impression.
Unfavorable is the well-known safety barrier also in terms of its installation. The steel bands must overlap in the grooves. For this, the free Ends of the steel strips are threaded into the respective adjacent end of a roundwood section, which often proves to be extremely difficult in practice. Then the bolts must be inserted through the roundwood sections and the overlapping ends of the steel straps before they can be attached to the spacers.
The invention is based on the prior art based on the object to improve a protective barrier of the generic type so that this impacting objects opposes a higher resistance.
This object is achieved with the features specified in
The essence of the invention is that the locking tabs are U-shaped configured with two legs, which are interconnected by a web, and that the locking tabs engage over the ends of two adjacent metal bands, the ends being received between the legs.
By this construction, the metal bands are coupled via locking tabs, so that a continuous tension belt is formed in the spar. In the case of an impact of a truck holds the guard rail by the shape of the locking tabs also very high tensile loads, the tension belt ensures the protective function of the guard rail, even if individual posts should cancel, for example, due to a direct impact.
Due to the inventive design of the metal bands cross lug of the protective barrier strand is reliably stabilized at the coupling points. An introduction of adverse moments in the log sections, a kink at the coupling point or splicing the Round wood sections is counteracted. Due to the high dimensional stability, the tensile strength of the tension belt is substantially higher than in known embodiments of the prior art. Particularly advantageously, the locking tabs are designed symmetrically.
Vorteilhafte Ausführungsformen und Weiterbildungen des Erfindungsgedankens sind Gegenstand der abhängigen Ansprüche 2 bis 8.Advantageous embodiments and further developments of the inventive concept are the subject of the
In an advantageous embodiment, it is provided that the web has a slot running in the web longitudinal direction. The locking lugs are made of one piece of sheet metal by punching and folding. The slot facilitates the folding of the latch plate.
Conveniently, the web is provided along the upper longitudinal edges of the legs. Thus, the bolt latch can be pushed from the top of the ends of the metal bands during assembly of the guard rail and then attached together with these on the post. For this purpose, the round wood sections on the end, parallel to the groove extending insertion slots, in which the locking tabs are used. Through these insertion slots, the locking tabs can be used after the Rundholzabschnitte are loosely fixed to the posts.
It is also advantageous if the roundwood sections are attached to the posts at the ends with the inclusion of spacers. The spacers act as a buffer between the roundwood sections and the posts, so that the posts are not damaged in light collision accidents. In addition, the anchoring of the posts next to the roadway is made possible.
The locking tabs, the metal bands, the Rundholzabschnitte and the spacers have aligned holes and are connected through the holes passing through bolts. During assembly, a round wood section can thus be loosely fastened to a spacer at the end with the inclusion of a locking lug with a screw bolt. In the next step, then the second round wood section is to be positioned, wherein the locking tab is to be inserted into the adjacent slot. Once the holes in the second log section and in the spacer flush a bolt can be inserted and a solid connection can be made. Finally, the bolt should be tightened on the first roundwood section.
The holes in the locking tabs and / or spacers can be designed as pointing in the direction of the spar slots. The elongated holes facilitate assembly, because they allow a length compensation. Also, the compliance behavior of a guardrail strand can support the slots because within the connection in the event of an impact the clearance is exploited before the full load acts in the connection area. The possibility of length compensation is also advantageous during the service life, because the materials of the components used have different coefficients of thermal expansion. Possibly occurring adverse voltages can be counteracted.
It is particularly advantageous if the locking tabs can be attached transversely to the screw bolts via transverse slots on the outer bores.

The
During assembly, the
